DESCRIPTION

Vaccine for the prevention of myxomatosis in rabbits in dysfunctional farms for this disease.

It is a dry, porous mass of creamy beige color.

COMPOSITION

The vaccine is made from live lyophilized rabbit myxomatosis virus (strain No. B-82) 50%, reproduced in a rabbit kidney cell culture with addition of skim milk and enzymatic hydrolyzate of blood proteins 10% as stabilizers.

BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The vaccine induces the formation of an immune response in rabbits to myxomatosis in 5-9 days after a single application lasting 12 months.

One immunizing dose of the vaccine contains at least 500 ID50 of the rabbit myxomatosis virus (strain # B-82).

The vaccine is harmless, areactogenic, has no medicinal properties.

APPLICATION

The vaccine is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously using disposable syringes. It is allowed to use reusable syringes and needles, which are sterilized by boiling for 15-20 minutes.

Chemical sterilization of syringes and needles is not permitted.

Before use, the vaccine is dissolved with distilled water for injection at the rate of 1 cm3 of water per 1 commercial dose of the vaccine.

Clinically healthy animals are subject to vaccination, starting from 30-45 days of age. The vaccine is administered once in a volume of 1 cm3, intramuscularly in the back of the thigh or subcutaneously.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is forbidden to vaccinate clinically sick and / or weakened animals.

OVERDOSE

Symptoms of myxomatosis or other pathological signs in case of an overdose of the vaccine have not been established.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Violations of the vaccination schedule should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of myxomatosis in rabbits.

Slaughter products and meat from vaccinated animals are sold without restriction, regardless of the timing of vaccination.

In rare cases, the vaccine can cause an allergic reaction. In this case, the animals are stopped using the drug and antihistamines or other symptomatic treatment are prescribed.
