Pharmacological action
Combined herbal preparation, contains medicinal haze extract and Milk Thistle extract.
Medicinal haze extract containing fumarin alkaloid normalizes the amount of secreted bile, relieves spasm of the gallbladder and bile ducts, facilitating the flow of bile into the intestines.
Milk thistle extract contains silymarin, which exhibits hepatoprotective effects in acute and chronic intoxications, binds free radicals and toxic substances in the liver tissue, has antioxidant and membrane stabilizing activity, stimulates protein synthesis, and helps restore liver cells.
Hepabene normalizes liver function in various chronic pathological conditions.
Indications
As part of the complex treatment of biliary dyskinesia (including after cholecystectomy).
As part of complex therapy for chronic hepatitis.
As part of complex therapy for chronic toxic liver damage.
Contraindications
Acute inflammatory diseases of the liver and biliary tract.
Children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible only as directed by a doctor.
Special instructions
During treatment with the drug, patients should only take medicines prescribed by their doctor, strictly follow the prescribed regimen and diet, and refrain from drinking alcohol.

Active Ingredients:
dry extract of the herb Smydonia officinalis 275.1 mg, incl. protopin 4.13 mg dry extract of the fruit of milk thistle 83.1 mg, incl. silymarin 50 mg with a silibinin content of at least 22 mg.
Excipients:
microcrystalline cellulose - 80.1 mg, corn starch - 20.1 mg, talc - 8.4 mg, macrogol 6000 - 4.5 mg, copolividone - 4.5 mg, magnesium stearate - 2.1 mg silicon dioxide - 2.1 mg.
Capsule shell composition:
gelatin - 79.94 mg, yellow iron oxide - 0.67 mg, red iron oxide - 0.15 mg, black iron oxide - 0.04 mg, titanium dioxide - 1.29 mg, purified water - 13.92 mg.
Dosage and administration of
The drug should be taken orally with food, without chewing, with a little water.
Adults: the drug is prescribed 1 capsule 3 times / day.
For night pain, an additional 1 capsule is recommended before bedtime.
If necessary, the daily dose of the drug can be increased to 6 capsules (maximum daily dose) in 3-4 doses during the day.
Side effects
Possibly: allergic reaction.
Sometimes: laxative effect, increased urine output.

Overdose
No overdose has been reported so far.
In the event of an overdose, the patient must seek medical attention immediately.
Storage conditions
