Pharmacological action of
Silver preparation (silver proteinate contains 7.5-8.5% silver). It has astringent, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects. It dissociates with the formation of silver ions, which bind to the DNA of bacteria and prevent their reproduction on the mucous membranes under local conditions.
The mechanism of action of silver proteinate is based on the fact that silver ions precipitate proteins and form a protective film on the damaged mucous membrane, which helps to reduce the sensitivity of nerve endings and constriction of blood vessels (this leads to a decrease in edema), which in turn leads to inhibition of inflammatory reactions. Silver ions also inhibit the reproduction of various bacteria. Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: B. cereus, C. albicans, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, A. niger, S. Abony and others.
Indications
Symptomatic therapy of acute nasopharyngitis, sinusitis, acute rhinitis (runny nose).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, atrophic rhinitis, children under 3 years old.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Contraindicated.
Special instructions
Before use, apply a small amount of the product to the elbow bend to detect individual intolerance.
In case of symptoms of individual intolerance to the components of the product (irritation, burning, itching of the skin, mucous membranes), rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes, if necessary consult a doctor.
The simultaneous use of products containing alkaloids and organic bases (adrenaline) is not recommended.

Composition per 1 tablet contains:

1 ampoule of solvent contains:
water.
Dosage and administration
Topically, as a 2% solution.
Prepare the solution immediately before use.
Store the finished solution at room temperature. Use the solution within 30 days after preparation.
To prepare a 2% solution, 1 tablet of the drug (200 mg) is dissolved in 10 ml of solvent (water for injection).
for children up to 3 to 6 years old - 1-2 drops in each nasal passage 3 times a day
for adults and children over 6 years old - 2-3 drops in each nasal passage 3 times a day.
Method for preparing the drug solution before use:
Before using the drug, it is recommended to rinse and clean the nasal passages. The duration of treatment is 5-7 days.
If, after 7 days of treatment, improvement does not occur or the symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, consult a doctor.
Use the drug only according to the indications, the method of use and at the doses indicated in the instructions.
Side effects
Slight mucosal irritation, burning, itching, allergic reactions (urticaria, atopic dermatitis, Quincke edema, anaphylactic shock).
If you have any side effects that are indicated in the instructions or are aggravated, or you notice any other side effects that are not listed in the instructions, inform your doctor.
Drug Interactions
Pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic interaction: not studied.
Pharmaceutical interaction: zinc, copper, lead, silver, mercury, iron, aluminum salts form insoluble precipitates with the drug solution. The drug solution is inactivated by alkaloids and organic bases (epinephrine).
If you are using the above or other medications (including over-the-counter), consult your doctor before using the drug.
Overdose
An overdose is unlikely with the recommended route of administration.
Symptoms: side effects may increase. Ingestion of a large amount of the drug may cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Treatment: in case of severe irritation, burning, itching, mucous membranes should be washed with plenty of water for 15 minutes. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Treatment is symptomatic.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25 РC.
