The maximum concentration of pyrantel pamoate in blood plasma is observed after 2? 4 hours after giving the drug.
The mechanism of action of fenbendazole and praziquantel is based on impaired glucose transport and microtubular function of the parasite, inhibition of fumarate reductase activity and ATP synthesis, increased permeability of cell membranes for calcium ions, which leads to disruption of neuromuscular innervation, paralysis and death of the parasite. All active components of the drug are excreted from the body with waste products within 24? 48 hours. Prazitel suspension, according to the degree of effect on the body of warm-blooded animals, refers to moderately hazardous substances and in recommended doses does not have teratogenic, immunotoxic, embryotoxic and local irritating effects.
