DESCRIPTION

Prazicide suspension is a complex anthelmintic drug. The drug is a light yellow liquid.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Prazicide suspension has a wide spectrum of anthelmintic action at all stages of development of round and tapeworms parasitizing in dogs and cats.

The mechanism of action of praziquantel, which is part of the drug, on cestodes is in the violation of intracellular calcium metabolism in helminths, inhibition of fumarate reductase, violation of the permeability of cell membranes and their death. Pirantel pomoate blocks neuromuscular transmission in nematodes, which leads to paralysis and death of helminths. Pirantel pomoate is poorly absorbed in the intestines of animals, which ensures its prolonged action.

The drug is classified as low-toxic and does not have embryotoxic, therotogenic and sensitizing effects in recommended doses.

INDICATIONS

The drug Prazicide suspension is prescribed for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes in case of nemodoses and cestodoses in cats, starting from 3 weeks of age.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Shake well for 20-30 seconds before use. A preliminary fasting diet and the use of laxatives are not required when using the drug Prazicide suspension.

The drug is used in the following doses: for cats - 1 ml per 1 kg of weight. When the drug is first used in cats, self-passing hypersalivation is possible.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store the drug in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, in a dry, dark place, separate from food and feed, at a temperature from 0 В° C to 25 В° C. The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of production. It is prohibited to use Prazicide-suspension Plus after the expiration date.

PACKAGING

Packaged in 7 ml. in polymer bottles. The bottle is packed in a cardboard box with a syringe dispenser.
