Powder Zoosept 200ml
DESCRIPTION
Zoosept is a powder for the treatment of postoperative and infected wounds, ulcers, fistulas and the treatment of aseptic wounds of various origins in animals. Dosage form: powder for external use. In appearance, Zoosept Powder is a fine crystalline yellowish powder with a shade of gray.
COMPOSITION
Zoosept powder in 1g contains 400mg of white streptocide, 50mg of xeroform as active ingredients, and dry oak bark extract as an auxiliary substance.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Zoosept powder belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of antiseptic drugs.
White streptocide, which is part of the drug, has a pronounced bacteriostatic effect on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. The mechanism of action is due to competitive antagonism with para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and inhibition of dihydropteroate synthetase, which leads to a violation of the synthesis of dihydrofolic and then tetrahydrofolic acid and, as a result, to a violation of the synthesis of nucleic acids of microorganisms.
Xeroform - has a bactericidal, astringent, anti-inflammatory, mild analgesic and hemostatic effect. Xeroform is able to bind to proteins of cell membranes of various pathological microorganisms, thereby leading to death of microbial cells. The drug provokes the effect of dehydration and partial coagulation of proteins, which protect the tissues involved in the inflammatory process from irritants. The drug enhances local blood circulation in tissues, stimulates cell division, increases the flow of tissue fluid, accelerates the healing processes and regeneration of affected tissues.
The tannins of the oak bark have a strong astringent effect. They form insoluble compounds with proteins, thereby protecting the skin's surface and at the same time having a detrimental effect on the microorganism.
According to the degree of impact on the body, Zoosept Powder according to GOST 12.1.007-76 belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3), does not have a local irritant and resorptive-toxic effect.
