The cell wall antigens and metabolites of Escherichia coli contained in Posterisan increase the local resistance of tissues to the effects of pathogenic microflora in contact with the rectal mucosa and skin of the anogenital area.

The drug stimulates the T-system of immunity, at the site of exposure increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, nonspecific factors of immunity, reduces vascular exudation during inflammation, normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels, stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Side effects

Posterisan has no side effects even with prolonged use.

Phenol is used as a preservative in the preparation, therefore, allergic reactions are possible in patients with hypersensitivity to this component.
