COMPOSITION

1 cm3 contains 250 mg of tilmicosin phosphate as an active ingredient, as well as auxiliary components.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Tilmicosin phosphate, which is part of the drug, belongs to antibiotics of the macrolide group, is active against most gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pasteurella spp., Clostridium spp., Arcanobacterium spp. (Corynebacterium), Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Chlamydia spp., Spirocheta spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Mannheimia haemolytica and Mycoplasma spp.

The mechanism of the bacteriostatic action of tilmicosin phosphate is to block protein synthesis in the microbial cell. When administered orally, it is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body, creating high therapeutic concentrations. It is excreted from the body of animals mainly through bile with feces and in small quantities with urine, in lactating animals - also with milk, in egg-laying birds - with eggs.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

PneumotilВ® is prescribed for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes for respiratory infections of chickens, calves and pigs, as well as for swine dysentery.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

PneumotilВ® is administered orally with water for drinking for 3-5 days in a row:

poultry - in a group way in a daily dose of 3 ml per 10 liters of water (15-20 mg of tilmicosin phosphate per 1 kg of bird weight);

pigs - individually or in groups, 8 ml per 10 l of water (15-20 mg of tilmicosin phosphate per 1 kg of animal weight);

calves - individually with water for drinking or milk replacer twice a day, 0.5 ml per 10 kg of animal weight (6.25 mg of tilmicosin phosphate per 1 kg of animal weight).

A solution of PnevmotilВ® with drinking water can be stored for no more than 24 hours. PneumotilВ® is compatible with sulfonamides, tetracyclines, nitrofuran, spectinomycin and coccidiostatics.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Due to the possible adsorption and a decrease in antibacterial activity, the drug should not be used simultaneously with drugs and feed additives containing bentonite. The use of PnevmotilВ® in laying hens is prohibited due to the accumulation of tilmicosin phosphate in the eggs.

LIMITATION

Slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed no earlier than 12 days, pigs - 14 days, calves - 35 days after the end of the use of PnevmotilВ®. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used as feed for fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.

SHELF LIFE

Store the medicinal product in the manufacturer's closed packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separate from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 to 25 В° C. The shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture. The shelf life of an opened bottle is 3 months. PneumotilВ® should not be used after the expiration date.
