Pharmacological action

MUKOFALK - laxative.

Pharmacodynamics

Hydrophilic fibers from the membrane of the seeds of plantain retain fluid in the digestive tract, thereby increasing the volume and softening the texture of the stool.

The drug restores normal bowel function by regulating its activity and facilitating the passage of intestinal contents.

Indications

constipation (including during pregnancy)

anal fissures

hemorrhoids

postoperative period for interventions in the anorectal region (in order to create a softer stool consistency)

functional diarrhea

irritable bowel syndrome.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the drug

organic strictures of the gastrointestinal tract

intestinal obstruction

Use during pregnancy and lactation

There are no restrictions and contraindications for taking the drug during pregnancy and lactation.

Composition

1 sachet (5 g) contains:

Active ingredient:

oval plantain seed coat powder Plantago ovata Forssk. 3.25 g

Excipients:

sucrose - 0.4795 g

citric acid - 0.435 g

dextrin - 0.294 g

sodium alginate - 0.2515 g

sodium citrate sodium chloride - 0.015 g

sodium saccharinate - 0.01 g

orange flavor - 0.04 g

Dosage and administration

Inside, adults and children over 12 years old - 1 sachet or 1 teaspoon 2-6 times a day.

Before use, 1 sachet or 1 teaspoon of granules is poured into a glass, which is slowly filled with cold water (150 ml), stirred and immediately drunk, then washed down with another glass of liquid.

Side effects

Allergic reactions.

In the early days of treatment, flatulence and a feeling of fullness in the abdomen may increase.

Drug Interaction

Do not use at the same time as antidiarrheal drugs, as well as drugs that inhibit bowel motility.

The interval of 30-60 minutes between the administration of Mucofalc and other drugs should be observed.

Patients with insulin-dependent diabetes may require a reduction in insulin dose.
