Indications

The drug is used in the complex treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by dry cough and also with dry cough of smokers.

Contraindications

Diabetes mellitus.

Congenital fructose intolerance.

Glucose / galactose malabsorption syndrome.

Congenital deficiency of sucrose / isomaltase.

Children under 2 years old.

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Pregnant and lactating women are not recommended to use the drug (due to insufficient data on the safety of the drug in this category of patients).

Plantain lanceolate leaf extract liquid (1: 5) * (Plantaginis lanceolantae herbae Extractum aquosum, plantain-plantain family (plantainaceae 1: 5), extractant-water) 1.25 g, mallow flower extract liquid (1: 5) ** (Malvae sylvestris flos extractum aquosum, family malva-Malvaceae (1: 5), extractant-water) 1.25 g, ascorbic acid 65 mg

Excipients:

Sucrose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, (E218), orange oil

Ratio 1: 5 corresponds to the ratio of medicinal herbs: extract: from 1 part of medicinal herbs, 5 parts of the extract are obtained.

Dosage and administration

Inside, the drug is recommended to be taken with a sufficient amount of tea or warm water.

For adults and children over 14 years of age, the drug is prescribed in 2 scoops (10 ml) 3-5 times a day.

For children aged 7 to 14 years - 1-2 scoops (5-10 ml) 3 times a day.

For children aged 2 to 7 years - 1 scoop (5 ml) 3 times a day.

The duration of the course of therapy is 2-3 weeks. An increase in the duration or appointment of a second course of therapy is possible after consulting a doctor.

Side effects

Possibly: an allergic reaction.

In case of side effects, you should stop taking the drug and consult your doctor.

Drug Interactions

Herbion® plantain syrup should not be used concomitantly with antitussive drugs and drugs to reduce phlegm formation, as it makes it difficult to expectorate liquefied phlegm.

Overdose

There have been no reports of overdoses of Herbion plantain syrup at this time.
