DESCRIPTION

Serum against pig erysipelas. Pig erysipelas serum is a clear, light yellow liquid with a reddish tint. During storage, the formation of a grayish-white precipitate is allowed, which, when shaken, easily breaks up into a uniform suspension.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

The drug is injected with sterile needles.

A separate needle is used for each animal. The injection site is wiped with a swab moistened with denatured alcohol or 3% carbolic acid solution.

Before use, vials with serum are vigorously shaken and heated in a water bath to 37-38 В° C.

Serum is used intramuscularly or subcutaneously in doses indicated on the vial labels. The doses of each batch of the drug, determined by the manufacturer, are in direct proportion to its activity. If necessary, the serum for therapeutic purposes is injected again after 10-12 hours in the same doses.

In animals vaccinated with serum, tense immunity is formed in a day and lasts for 14 days.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

If the serum contains foreign impurities, mold, unbreakable flakes, putrid odor, violations of the cork and the integrity of the vials, the absence of a label, as well as if the serum is not used on the day the vial is opened, it must be discarded and disposed of.

In the event of complications, the use of this series of serum is discontinued and, in accordance with the instructions of the Main Directorate of Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, No. unopened vials of serum with a cover letter, signed and sealed by the chief veterinarian of the district (city), to the All-Russian State Research Institute for Control, Standardization and Certification of Veterinary Drugs, at the same time notifies the manufacturer of the biological product of the incident.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

The serum is suitable for use within 2 years from the date of production, provided that it is stored in a dark dry room at a temperature of 20 to 15 В° C. Serum that has been frozen is not allowed for use

PACKAGING

The serum is produced in glass bottles with a capacity of 100 ml. Serum vials should be tightly sealed with rubber stoppers and rolled in metal caps. The vial must have a label with the designation: the name of the manufacturer and its trademark, the name of the drug, the batch and control number, the date of manufacture, the number of doses in the vial, the prophylactic and therapeutic doses (ml per 1 kg of live weight), the shelf life, storage conditions and designation of technical specifications.
