DESCRIPTION
Phytoelita Cytostat - tablets for oral administration for the prevention of malignant neoplasms of the mammary gland in cats and dogs. The drug is a white to light yellow biconvex tablet. Blotches and slight marbling are allowed.
COMPOSITION
One tablet weighing 0.2 g contains extracts from plant materials as active ingredients: broccoli sprouts, chaga, oregano herb, horsetail herb, burdock herb (agaric), shepherd's purse herb, immortelle flowers, bedstraw herb, celandine herb, leaves nettle, birch leaves, narrow-leaved fireweed (ivan-tea) herb, St. John's wort, Echinacea purpurea herb, comfrey root, meadowsweet flowers, lemon balm herb, burdock roots, meadow clover flowers (red), roots and rhizomes of licorice legs, flowers , rhizomes and root of the burnet - 7.68 mg, with an amino nitrogen content of at least 0.1 Ојg, and as auxiliary substances: calcium stearate - 0.001 g, starch - 0.01 g, lactose - in an amount sufficient to obtain a tablet weighing 0.2 g.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Cytostat belongs to complex herbal preparations for the prevention of malignant neoplasms of the mammary gland in cats and dogs, as well as in the postoperative period as a cytostatic agent in cats and dogs and for the prevention of false breeding in dogs.
The mechanism of action of the drug is determined by the phytotherapeutic activity of biologically active substances of extracts from plant raw materials. The main active substances of chaga are pterins, they have a cytostatic effect, delay the initial stages of the tumor process.
Echinacea polysaccharides have immunostimulating activity in functional immunodeficiency.
The active ingredient of burdock - lignan aglycone of arktigenin has antitumor activity against tumors and breast metastases. The indoles (diindolylmethane) of broccoli stimulate the body to burn those forms of estrogen that contribute to breast cancer; inhibit the growth, division and reproduction of breast cancer cells. Diindolylmethane increases the level of a specific protein that kills cancer cells and decreases the level of the protein that maintains their vitality.
Hanerol fireweed has a broad antitumor effect, including in breast cancer.
Oregano contains selenium (50 Ојg / g), which is part of a factor that prevents necrotic processes in the cells of the body.
The phenolcarboxylic acids of lemon balm and oregano - thymol, carvacrol, have adaptogenic properties that reduce sexual arousal. The active substances of the remaining components have a synergistic and symptomatic effect (adaptogenic, antioxidant, antitoxic).
The medicinal product Cytostat, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
The drug does not have cumulative, embryotoxic and teratogenic properties.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Cytostat is used in dogs and cats for the prevention of malignant neoplasms of the mammary gland and in the postoperative period as a cytostatic, adaptogenic, antioxidant, antitoxic agent, as well as for the prevention of false breeding in dogs.
For the prevention of breast neoplasms in dogs, the drug is prescribed monthly, 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight, in cats, 1 tablet 3 times a day for 7 days.
For dogs with a malignant breast tumor up to 1 cm in size, the drug is used in courses of 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight, for cats - 1 tablet for 5-7 days once every 3-4 months in order to prevent its growth and development.
In the postoperative period, the drug is prescribed to dogs 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight, cats to 1 tablet 2 times a day for 3-4 months.
In the presence of a growing benign breast tumor, the drug is used in the preoperative period for 3-4 days for dogs, 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight, for cats - 1 tablet 3 times a day.
After surgery, the drug is used for 10-12 days for dogs, 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight, for cats - 1 tablet per day.
For the prevention of false stiffness, the drug should be given to bitches from the onset of estrus to the anestrus phase (up to 21 days), 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight 1-3 times a day. It is also a preventive measure in relation to the development of breast tumors.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

The peculiarities of the action of the drug at the first dose or at its withdrawal have not been established.
If one or more doses of the drug are missed, treatment must be resumed as soon as possible in the prescribed dosage and regimen.
CONTRAINDICATIONS

SIDE EFFECTS
As a rule, side effects and complications when using Cytostat according to the instructions are not observed. In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the appearance of adverse reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and desensitizing or symptomatic therapy is carried out.
Chills are sometimes noted in animals after drug administration. The temperature may rise in rare cases. These reactions are a physiologically adequate response of the body to the drug.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The drug Cytostat is stored in a closed manufacturer's packaging separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature from 0 В° C to 25 В° C.
The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 1 year from the date of production.

Cytostat is released packaged in 50 tablets in polymer jars with screw caps with first opening control or food grade polyethylene bags placed together with instructions for use in a box made of cardboard box.
