Pharmgroup: antacid.

Pharmaceutical action: Phosphalugel - has an acid-neutralizing, enveloping, adsorbing effect.

Reduces the proteolytic activity of pepsin.

Does not cause alkalization of gastric juice, maintaining the acidity of gastric contents at the physiological level.

Does not lead to secondary hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid.

Forms a protective layer on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract.

Helps to remove toxins, gases and microorganisms throughout the digestive tract, normalizes the passage of contents through the intestines.

Pharmacokinetics: Absorption - low.

Most of the aluminum phosphate is insoluble, a small part precipitates in the intestine in the form of oxides and insoluble carbonates.

HC1 neutralization products can be absorbed and exhibit a systemic effect.

Indications

For adults:

- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, gastritis with normal or increased secretory function, diaphragmatic hernia

reflux esophagitis, non-ulcer dyspepsia syndrome

- functional diarrhea

- functional diseases of the colon

- gastric and intestinal disorders caused by intoxication, taking medications, irritants (acids, alkalis), alcohol

For children:

- esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux, gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.

Contraindications

severe renal dysfunction, hypersensitivity to the drug Phosphalugel.

You should not take the drug for a long time without a doctor's prescription.

Use with caution in the presence of kidney disease, liver cirrhosis, severe heart failure.

In elderly patients and patients with impaired renal function, when using Fosfalugel in recommended doses, an increase in the concentration of aluminum in the blood serum is possible.

Antibiotics of the tetracycline group, iron preparations, cardiac glycosides should be taken no earlier than 2 hours after taking Fosfalugel.

Method of administration and dosage

For adults and children over 6 years old - oral administration of 1-2 sachets of Phosphalugel 2-3 times a day.

The dosage regimen depends on the nature of the disease: - gastroesophageal reflux, diaphragmatic hernia - immediately after meals and at night

- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum - 1-2 hours after eating and immediately if pain occurs

- gastritis, dyspepsia - before meals

- functional diseases of the colon - in the morning on an empty stomach and at night.

If in the interval between doses of Phosphalugel pains resume, repeat the drug intake.

For babies under 6 months - 1/4 sachet or 1 teaspoon (4 g) after each of 6 feedings

over 6 months - 1/2 sachet or 2 teaspoons after each of 4 feedings.
