Pharmoksidin 100ml

DESCRIPTION

Pharmoksidin is a solution for the prevention and treatment of clinical and latent forms of mastitis in lactating and dry cows.

COMPOSITION

in 1 ml as an active ingredient contains 10 mg of hydroxymethylquinoxylindoxide, excipients: nipagin - 1 mg and water for injection - up to 1 ml.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmoksidin is an antibacterial drug of the quinoxaline group.

Hydroxymethylquinoxylindoxide (dioxidine), which is part of the drug, has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action and is effective against gram-positive cocci - Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp .; gram-positive rods - Actinomyces spp., Clostridium spp; gram-negative rods - of the Enterohacteriaceae family (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp.), Bacteroides spp., including Bacteroides fragillts, Pseudomonas aeruginosa; as well as mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mycobacterium tuberculosis).

The mechanism of action of hydroxymethylquinoxylindoxide is the ability to cause deep structural changes in the cytoplasm of microorganisms and disrupt the synthesis of bacterial DNA in a microbial cell, without affecting the synthesis of RNA and protein; cause structural changes in the cell wall of bacteria, suppress the activity of extracellular bacterial nuclease and a-toxin.

When the drug is injected into the milk tanks, the active substance penetrates into the udder parenchyma, remaining in therapeutic concentrations for 12 hours.

The drug in accordance with the classification GOST 12.1.007-76 belongs to the 4th hazard class (low-hazard substances).

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

When treating mastitis in cows, before the introduction of the drug, the secret (milk, exudate) from the diseased quarters of the udder is completely milked into a separate container, disinfected by boiling and disposed of, and the nipple is treated with an antiseptic solution. Before the introduction, the drug is warmed up to 40 В° C and injected through the nipple canal using a catheter. After injection of the drug, the tip of the nipple is pinched with fingers and the nipple is lightly massaged from the bottom up for 1-2 minutes for better distribution of the drug.

In the treatment of acute and chronic forms of mastitis, the drug is injected into the diseased udder at a dose of 20.0 ml at intervals of 12 hours for 3-4 days.

In the latent form and prevention of mastitis, 20.0 ml of the drug is injected into the udder nipple twice a day for 1 - 2 days.

For prophylactic sanitation of the udder, the drug is administered on the 4th day from the beginning of the dry period into all udder lobes, 20.0 ml once.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

At temperatures below plus 15 В° C, a fine-crystalline or flocculent sediment may form. In this case, before using the drug, the bottle is heated in a boiling water bath to dissolve the precipitate. There is no loss of drug activity after heating in a boiling water bath.

Pharmoksidin should not be used concurrently with other antibacterial drugs for intracisternal administration.

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 2 days after the last intracisternal administration of the drug. In the event of the forced slaughter of animals before the established deadline, the meat can be used as feed for fur animals. Milk obtained from cows treated with mastitis with Pharmoksidin can be used for food no earlier than 48 hours after the last intracisternal administration, provided that there are no signs of mastitis.

Milk from unaffected udder lobes, obtained during the treatment period and within 48 hours after the last application of the drug, is disinfected (boiled or pasteurized at 76 В° C for 20 seconds) and used in animal feeding.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindication to the use of Pharmoksidin is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.

SIDE EFFECTS

When using Farmoxidin in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications are usually not observed. With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the appearance of signs of allergy, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines and symptomatic therapy are prescribed.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Pharmoksidin is stored in a closed manufacturer's packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C.

The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture. After the first puncture of the bottle cap, no more than 14 days.
