DESCRIPTION

Pharmasin 500 water-soluble powder (Pharmasin 500 pulvis hydrosolubilis) is a water-soluble powder for the treatment of diseases of bacterial and mycoplasma etiology in pigs, calves and poultry. In appearance, the drug is a white or cream powder.

COMPOSITION

500 mg of tylosin in the form of tartrate, and as an auxiliary substance - lactose monohydrate up to 1 g.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmazin 500 water-soluble powder belongs to antibacterial drugs of the macrolide group.

Tylosin is active against most gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria, including staphylococci, streptococci, corynebacteria, clostridia, pasteurella, erysipelotrix, spirochetes, chlamydia, treponema and mycoplasma. The mechanism of action of tylosin is to suppress protein synthesis at the ribosomal level.

When administered orally, tylosin is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract into the bloodstream and penetrates into almost all organs and tissues of the body. The highest concentration of the drug is achieved in the lungs, liver, mammary glands and kidneys. The therapeutic concentration of the antibiotic after a single use of Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder in recommended doses remains in the body for 15-18 hours. The drug is excreted from the body mainly with feces, to a lesser extent - with urine, in lactating animals also with milk.

Pharmazin 500 water-soluble powder, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Pharmazin 500 water-soluble powder is used for therapeutic and therapeutic and prophylactic purposes for respiratory mycoplasmosis of birds, infectious sinusitis of turkeys, as well as for the treatment of dysentery and gastroenterocolitis of bacterial etiology of pigs and bronchopneumonia of calves caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.

Pharmazin 500 water-soluble powder is applied to animals inside with drinking water. During the treatment period, pigs and poultry should not receive other drinking water, except for water with a medicinal product.

Before use, the recommended dose of the drug is dissolved in a small amount of water (water is added to the powder), and then diluted with water to the required concentration.

With a therapeutic and prophylactic purpose, Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder is prescribed in a dose of 1 g per 1 liter of water for broilers for 3 days, for turkeys for 5 days in the following growing periods:

Pigs Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder is prescribed in a dose of 0.5 g per 1 liter of water (or 10 mg / kg of the animal weight for tylosin) for 3-10 days. In case of bronchopneumonia of calves, the drug is prescribed in a daily dose of 10 mg / kg of animal weight according to the active substance (they are drunk individually with water or milk), divided into two doses, for 7-14 days.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Overdose symptoms when using Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder in piglets can be manifested by depression, vomiting, dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract.

The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and withdrawal have not been established.

Skips should be avoided when introducing the next dose of Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder, as this can lead to a decrease in the therapeutic efficacy of the drug. If you miss one dose, you must enter it as soon as possible. Further, the interval until the next injection of the drug does not change.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to the use of Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder is the increased individual sensitivity of animals to tylosin. It is forbidden to use Farmazin for 500 laying hens, the eggs of which are intended for human consumption. The drug should not be used in animals with developed cicatricial digestion.

SIDE EFFECTS

When using the drug according to this instruction, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not observed. In the event of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines are prescribed. When using the drug in pigs, allergic reactions to tylosin are possible, manifested in the form of mild rectal edema, erythema, itching, which quickly disappear after discontinuation of the drug.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store in closed manufacturer's packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature not exceeding 25 В° C.

Expiration date: 3 years from the date of production. It is forbidden to use Farmazin 500 water-soluble powder after the expiration date. Keep out of the reach of children.
