The duration of the preventive course is from 7 to 14 days.

the dose of Phagodent is determined by the doctor, based on the specific clinical situation. Phagodent is injected with a syringe with a blunt cannula after hygienic treatment and medical manipulations and incubated for 10-20 minutes without rinsing. If necessary, 2-3 additional procedures are carried out with an interval of 2-3 days.

The practice of using bacteriophages
Bacteriophages (from ancient Greek - 'eaters of bacteria') are viruses that selectively attack bacteria: each type of bacteriophages is active only against a certain specific type of bacteria and neutral against other species. In clinical practice, bacteriophages are used that destroy pathogenic bacteria without disturbing the normal flora of a person and without interacting with his organs and systems. Interaction with other medicinal products

• antibacterial agents: Phagodent can be used simultaneously with antibacterial agents.

• antiseptic agents:

  • Phagodent can be used simultaneously with solutions of chlorhexidine bigluconate 0.05% and 0.2%, hydroxymethylquinoxalindioxide 2.0%, rinses with triclosan, cleansing foams, gels with metronidazole. It should be taken into account that rinses with triclosan and gels with metronidazole slightly reduce the activity of bacteriophages that are part of Phagodent.

  • Due to the inactivation of bacteriophages that are part of Phagodent, it is not recommended to use the following agents with Phagodent simultaneously:
    - agents based on octenidine and phenoxyethanol;
    - products based on polyacrylic acid salts;
    - solutions of hydrogen peroxide.
