Pancrealex injection 10ml
DESCRIPTION
Pancrealex is an injection solution for the treatment of diseases of the pancreas. In appearance, the drug is a colorless transparent liquid.
COMPOSITION
Anti-inflammatory drug in the form of a solution for injection, contains in 1000 ml as an active ingredient: Atropa belladonna O - 0.1 ml, Berberis vulgaris O = D1 - 1.0 ml, Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni D4 trituration - 0.01 g, Lycopodium clavatum O = D1 - 0.01 Ојl, Matricaria recutita O - 0.001 ml, Taraxacum officinalis O - 0.01 ml and excipients: sodium chloride, sodium acetate trihydrate, ethyl alcohol 95%, hydrochloric acid, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, polysorbate 80, water for injection.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pancrealex is a combined drug for the treatment of diseases of the pancreas. The drug contains components that prevent the production of pro-inflammatory factors, have a cytoprotective effect and help preserve the structure of the pancreas, regulate the exocrine function of the pancreas, glucose and triglyceride metabolism.
Pancrealex has an anti-inflammatory and protective effect on the tissue of the pancreas, promotes the preservation of acinar cells, regulates the exocrine function of the pancreas, in pancreatitis prevents the development of hyperglycemia, has an antiemetic effect.
According to the degree of effect on the body, the drug belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), does not have a local irritant and sensitizing effect.
PURPOSE
Pancrealex is prescribed to dogs and cats in complex therapy for acute and chronic pancreatitis, triaditis, including to eliminate the symptoms of vomiting in these diseases, as well as to restore the exocrine function of the pancreas (improve digestion).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Pancrealex is used intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dosage of 0.1 ml / 1 kg of animal weight: for the treatment of acute pancreatitis in dogs - 1-2 times a day for 5-7 days, then 3-4 injections 1 time in 1-3 days; for the treatment of acute pancreatitis in cats - 2 times a day for 5-7 days, then 3-4 injections 1 time a day; for the treatment of chronic pancreatitis, including in the acute stage, in dogs and cats - 1-2 times a day for 5-7 days, then 2-3 times a week for 1-2 weeks; for the treatment of chronic pancreatitis as part of triaditis in cats - 2 times a day for 3-5 days, then 1 time a day for 5-10 days; to improve digestion (restore the exocrine function of the pancreas) in dogs - once a day for 14 days.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Pancrealex is not intended for use in productive animals.
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation have not been established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of a drug is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to its components.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not observed. With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the occurrence of allergic reactions, the use of Pancrealex is stopped and antihistamines and symptomatic therapy are prescribed to the animal.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
PACKAGING
Pancrealex is produced sterilely packaged in 10 ml each in glass vials, sealed with rubber stoppers and rolled in aluminum caps. Vials are packed in cardboard boxes along with instructions for use.
