Pharmacological action
Prostaplant has antiandrogenic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant effects, which is selectively directed to the prostate gland.
The antiandrogenic activity of the drug is due to inhibition of the 5β-reductase enzyme. Under the influence of this enzyme, testosterone entering the prostate gland turns into the active form - dihydrotestosterone. It prevents the formation of the dihydrotestosterone-receptor complex, its penetration into the cell nucleus and the subsequent induction of protein synthesis. As a result, the process of proliferative changes in the tissues of the prostate gland is inhibited. Prostaplant does not affect plasma levels of testosterone, FSH and LH in men.
Anti-inflammatory and decongestant action associated with inhibition of COX and 5-lipoxygenase.
Reduces capillary permeability and vascular stasis, relieves swelling and inflammation of the prostate, thus eliminating compression on the neck of the bladder and urethra, improves urodynamics in the urinary tract.
The indicated properties of the drug help to reduce specific symptoms of prostate hyperplasia such as dysuria, pollakiuria, nocturia, decreased volume and strength of urination, incomplete emptying of the bladder, pain and a feeling of tension in the perineum at stages I – II of the disease.
Prostaplant does not reduce potency, does not affect the level of specific prostatic antigen in blood plasma.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Prostaplant.
Caution: patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases.
Special instructions
Before using Prostaplant, you should make sure that the disease is benign.
Composition
Active ingredient: ofloxacin - 400 mg
Excipients: corn starch or potato MCC talc polyvinyl pyrrolidone low molecular weight magnesium or calcium aerosil stearate
Shell composition:d iron oxide yellow (E172) - 2.417 mg iron oxide black (E172) - 2.21 mg blue patent dye V (E131) - 0.81 mg
Dosage and administration of
Prostaplant is taken orally without chewing, washed down with a small amount of liquid.
1 capsule 1 time per day, the duration of the course of treatment - at least 3 months.
The optimal treatment regimen and repeated courses in each individual case are prescribed by the doctor based on the results of the diagnostic examination.
Side effects
In some cases, nausea, heartburn, gastralgia (when taken on an empty stomach) may cause allergic reactions.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 РC.
