Pharmacological action
Prostagut forte - herbal remedy for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The drug has anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, immunomodulating, anti-proliferative and anti-androgenic effects.
The anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect is due to the inhibition of the main parts of the arachidonic acid cascade and the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, followed by a decrease in permeability and, as a consequence, a decrease in pain, inflammation and swelling of the tissues of the prostate gland.
Immunomodulatory effect is due to the suppression of autoimmune effects on prostate tissue in inflammatory processes, as well as a decrease in the proliferation of active lymphocytes.
Antiproliferative and antiandrogenic effects are associated with inhibition of the aromatase enzyme and 5β-reductase, which in turn prevents the formation of estradiol and dihydrotestosterone from testosterone, which contribute to the growth of prostate tissue.
Prostagut forte reduces the symptoms of urination disorders due to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Prostagut Forte reduces pain and burning sensation during urination, promotes rapid emptying of the bladder and reduces the frequency of false and nightly urination.
Does not affect sexual activity.
Indications
- It is used to treat urination disorders in benign prostatic hyperplasia of the I and II degrees and prostatitis.
- Prevention of relapse of benign prostatic hyperplasia after surgery.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Special instructions
This drug only reduces the severity of symptoms due to enlargement of the prostate gland without eliminating the enlargement itself. In this regard, it is recommended to regularly visit a doctor for follow-up examinations, especially with the appearance of blood in the urine and with acute urinary retention.

1 capsule contains: Creeping serena / palm sabal fruit dry extract (10-14.3: 1) - 160 mg, Extractant: ethanol 90%
Excipients: Triglycerides (triesters of saturated glycerol C8-C18) and fat , hydrogenated soybean oil, silicon dioxide colloidal
Capsule shell: Glycerin 85% (glycerol), gelatin polysuccinate, black iron oxide, E 172, yellow iron oxide, E 172, patented blue V, E131
Dosage and administration
Take orally, without chewing, 1 capsule 2 times a day, morning and evening, with a little water.
Duration of treatment is at least 30 days.
