Oxylate is a drug that contains cresocin, nicotinic acid, nipagin, nipazole, sodium hydroxide, water for injection. The drug is a sterile, transparent, light yellow liquid with a weak specific odor.

Purpose:

Oxylate is used for hypotension and atony of the uterus, retention of the placenta, for the prevention and treatment of postpartum catarrhal-purulent endometritis in cows, in the treatment of postpartum metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows.

Biological properties:

Oxylate stimulates the contractility of the myometrium and regeneration processes in the endometrium, shortens the time of involution, eliminates atony and hypotension of the uterus. The drug has antimicrobial activity against St. albus, St. aureus, Strept. pyogenes, E. coli, Salmonella dublin.

Dosage and method of administration:

Oxylate is used for hypotension and atony of the uterus, retention of the placenta, for the prevention and treatment of postpartum catarrhal-purulent endometritis in cows, in the treatment of postpartum metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome in sows at a dose of 0.03 - 0.05 ml / kg of animal body weight ... A single dose for cows is 10-15 ml, for sows - 5-7 ml. When the placenta is retained in cows, the drug is injected subcutaneously into the caudal fossa twice: after 5-6 hours and 24 hours after giving birth. The afterbirth is removed after 1-2 days without surgical assistance. In order to prevent postpartum endometritis, oxylate is administered to cows subcutaneously into the caudal fossa. For the treatment of cows with postpartum endometritis, the drug is injected subcutaneously into the caudal fossa once a day for 4-5 days in a row.

Contraindications:

The drug is not used in pregnant animals.

Note:

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed two days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed earlier than the established period is used for the preparation of meat and bone meal and for feeding fur animals. The use of milk for human consumption is allowed two days after the last use of the drug. Milk obtained earlier than the established period is fed to animals after boiling.

Side effects:
