For local symptomatic treatment and pain relief in adults and children (including newborns) with:
external otitis media;
in the complex therapy of otitis media with an intact tympanic membrane;
barotraumatic otitis media.
Drops are instilled into the external auditory canal 3-4 drops 2-3 times / day. To avoid contact of the cold solution with the auricle, the bottle should be warmed in the palms of your hands before use.
The course of treatment should not exceed 10 days.
Ear drops in the form of a clear, colorless or slightly yellowish solution.

Excipients: sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate - 1 mg, ethanol 96% - 200 mg, purified water - 20 mg, sodium hydroxide solution 1M - up to pH 5.5 ± 0.2, glycerol - up to 1 g.
Perforation of the tympanic membrane;
hypersensitivity to drug components;
hypersensitivity to pyrazolone derivatives.
Pharmacodynamics
Combined preparation for topical use. It has a local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Phenazone is an antipyretic analgesic with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. The combination of phenazone and lidocaine promotes a faster onset of anesthesia, and also increases its intensity and duration.
Pharmacokinetics
The active substances are not absorbed into the systemic circulation with an intact tympanic membrane.
Side effect
Possibly: local allergic reactions, irritation and hyperemia of the ear canal, slight pain during use.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Use during pregnancy is possible only if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
If necessary, use during lactation should decide on the termination of breastfeeding.

It is necessary to ensure the integrity of the tympanic membrane before using the drug. In the case of using the drug with a perforated eardrum, active substances can penetrate into the systemic circulation, which can lead to complications.
The duration of Otirelax's use is no more than 10 days, after which the prescribed therapy should be corrected.
When using the drug Otyrelax in combination with other ear drops, it is necessary to maintain an interval of at least 30 minutes between instillations.
It should be borne in mind that the drug contains an active ingredient that can give a positive test during doping control.
