DESCRIPTION
Otibiovin (Otibiovin) - ear drops for the treatment of external otitis media of bacterial and fungal etiology and superficial dermatitis in dogs and cats. Transparent solution.
COMPOSITION
A solution of Otibiovin in 1 ml contains: triamcinolone acetonide - 0.5 mg, salicylic acid - 5 mg, gentamicin sulfate - 2 mg, excipients: ethanol, distilled water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
A drug with a broad antimicrobial spectrum of action, due to an aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts bactericidal against some gram-positive and most gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Enterobakter aerogenes, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Campylob. jejuni, Mycoplasma).
Salicylic acid has a soothing and disinfecting effect on fabrics.
Triamcinolone acetone is a semi-synthetic corticosteroid that has a sedative and anti-inflammatory effect.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Treatment of acute bacterial and yeast ear infections (mainly otitis externa), superficial dermatitis, eczema of the ears and ear canal in dogs and cats.
The drug is instilled into the auditory canal, at the beginning of the course 3-4 times a day, and after 3 days 2-3 times a day in the amount of 4-5 drops.
It is recommended to clean the ear canal of scabs and crusts before use. After instillation of the drug, carry out a light massage of the ear circumference for better penetration of the drug into the tissues.
The course of treatment is 5-7 days, but not more than 12 days (3 days after the signs of the disease disappear).
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The drug has restrictions on its use. It can be used for complex infectious diseases of the ear, on the basis of clinical and diagnostic studies and the establishment of pathogens, as well as their sensitivity to this active substance, antibiotic.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Eardrum rupture.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
In sealed original packaging, in a dry, dark place, out of reach of children and animals, separate from food and animal feed, at a temperature of 15-25 В° C.
The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 36 months from the date of manufacture. After opening the bottle, the drug must be used within 12 days.
