DESCRIPTION
Osurnia ear gel for the treatment of acute and chronic otitis media for dogs. In appearance, the drug is a translucent gel from white to light yellow.
COMPOSITION
D 1 ml as active ingredients contains terbinafine - 10 mg, florfenicol - 10 mg and betamethasone acetate - 1 mg, and as auxiliary substances: butyl hydroxytoluene, hypromellose, lecithin, oleic acid, propylene carbonate and glycerin.

Osurnia ear gel for dogs is a combination drug for the treatment of otitis media.
Osurnia ear gel for dogs contains a combination of active ingredients with antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects.
Betamethasone acetate belongs to the class of complex diesters of glucocorticosteroids, has anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects, which helps to reduce the severity of clinical symptoms of otitis externa and improve the condition of the animal.
Terbinafine is an allylamine derivative with a pronounced fungicidal effect. Selectively disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the membrane structure of fungal cells, including Malassezia pachydermatis.
Florfenicol is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell protein synthesis. Possesses a wide spectrum of antibacterial activity, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as Staphilococcus intermedius, Streptococcus spp., Proteus mirabilis, Escherichia coli, Enterococci spp., Pseudomonas spp.
The absorption of the components of the drug occurs mainly during the first 2-4 days after its use, the concentration of active substances in the blood plasma is 1-42 ng / ml, which is determined by many factors, including the barrier function of epithelial cells, and, in particular, increases with inflammation.
MODE OF APPLICATION
Apply the drug twice at a dosage of 1 tube per 1 affected ear of the animal; before the second use, cleaning (sanitation) of the ear canal is not required, the re-introduction of the drug is carried out after 7 days, after which the cleaning of the external ear canal is allowed to be carried out no earlier than 14 days after the last use of the drug.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to use is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug. Use with caution in dogs with suspected or confirmed endocrine disorders (diabetes mellitus, thyroid hypo- or hyperdysfunction). It is forbidden to use the drug for animals with violation of the integrity of the tympanic membrane, as well as with generalized demodicosis.
The drug should not be used in conjunction with corticosteroids in order to avoid the immunosuppressive effect and the development of hyperadrenocorticism.
Osurnia ear gel for dogs is not intended for use in productive animals.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
When stored at temperatures from 2 В° C to 8 В° C (in the refrigerator) 3 years from the date of production; when stored at room temperature (outside the refrigerator) - 3 months from the date of production.
