DESCRIPTION
Ointment 'Yam BK' (Unguentum 'Yam VK') - an ointment for external use for the treatment of animals with eczema, dermatitis caused by sarcoptoid and psoroptoid mites, as well as trichophytosis. In appearance, the drug is a gray to brown ointment.
COMPOSITION
Ointment 'Yam BK' contains 100 g of sulfur as active ingredients - 10 g, zinc oxide - 10 g, and as auxiliary substances: salicylic acid - 5 g, lysol - 5 g, turpentine - 2 g, tar - 5 g , lanolin - 18 g, petroleum jelly - 40 g and distilled water - up to 100 g.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Yam BK ointment belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group of drugs for the treatment of skin diseases.
Ointment 'Yam BK' has acaricidal and fungicidal activity. The components included in the ointment have antiseptic, keratolytic, astringent properties, which contributes to the fastest recovery.
According to the degree of impact on the body, Ointment 'Yam BK' according to GOST 12.1.007-76 refers to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4).
INDICATIONS
Ointment 'Yam BK' is used to treat animals with eczema, dermatitis caused by sarcoptoid and psoroptoid mites, as well as trichophytosis.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Ointment 'Yam BK' is applied externally, applying it in a thin layer to the affected area of ​​the skin and 2-4 cm around it without first removing the crusts and clipping the hair; while the ointment is lightly rubbed into the treated surface. The affected areas are treated 1-2 times a day for 7-10 days, depending on the severity of the lesion.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Control microscopic examinations of scrapings are carried out 10 days after the last treatment.
If pathogens are found in the animal, the treatment is repeated.
To prevent the ointment from licking off, small animals wear a neck collar or bandage.
If the interval between two treatments is accidentally extended, the preparation should be applied as soon as possible.
Products of animal origin obtained from animals treated with Yam BK Ointment in accordance with this instruction are used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of a drug is the increased individual sensitivity of animals to the components of the drug.
Do not use in cats due to increased species sensitivity to tar.
SIDE EFFECTS
As a rule, there are no side effects and complications when using Yam BK Ointment in accordance with this instruction. In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the appearance of signs of skin irritation, the treatment is stopped, the ointment is removed with a swab and washed off with water. No additional treatment is required.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Ointment 'Yam BK' is stored in a closed manufacturer's packaging in a dry, dark place, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 В° C to 30 В° C.
The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of production.
