Structure
100 g of solution contains:
active substances: 0.1 g octenidine dihydrochloride, 2.0 g phenoxyethanol.
Other components: (3-amidopropyl coconut fatty acid) - dimethylazanium acetate, D-sodium gluconate, glycerol 85%, sodium chloride, purified water, sodium hydroxide.
pharmachologic effect
The OCTENISEPT" agent has antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including causative agents of nosocomial infections, mycobacterium tuberculosis, fungi of the genus Candida, as well as hepatitis B and HIV viruses.
According to the parameters of acute toxicity when administered into the stomach and applied to the skin, the "OCTENISEPT" agent, according to GOST 12.1.007-76, belongs to the 4th class of low-hazard compounds.
Local irritating, skin resorptive and sensitizing properties in the recommended modes of use were not detected in the agent.
The safety of the product is controlled by the volatile component - 2-phenoxyethanol.

Side effects
Possible short-term burning sensation at the site of application.

Do not use Octenisept® after the expiration date.

In traumatology for the treatment of wound and burn surfaces.
In dermatovenerology for the prevention and treatment of mycoses of the feet and interdigital mycoses.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic reactions.
Drug interactions
Do not mix with other drugs, especially with iodine-containing antiseptics.
Dosage
1. Treatment of the skin of the operating field: the skin is wiped with double-separate sterile gauze tampons, abundantly moistened with the agent.
The holding time after the end of processing is 2 minutes.
On the eve of the operation, the patient takes a shower (bath), changes linen.
2. Treatment of the skin of the injection field: the skin is wiped with a sterile cotton swab, abundantly moistened with the agent.
The holding time after the end of processing is 1 minute.
In accordance with the indications, the skin and mucous membranes are thoroughly and completely treated with Octenisept.
Usually, the treatment is carried out with two or three tampons abundantly moistened with the drug, which alternately rub the affected area.
Due to the anatomical and physiological characteristics, this method is preferable for the treatment of the mucous membrane.
The preparation can be applied to easily accessible areas of the skin by spraying with a mechanical spray bottle.
The drug can also be used to rinse the mouth and rinse the vaginal area.

Anogenital area - 1 minute.
Before bladder catheterization - 1 minute.
Antiseptic skin treatment before surgery - 2 minutes.
