Pharmacological action
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative flora, incl. Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella spp. Effective with the resistance of microorganisms to other antimicrobial agents (not from the group of nitrofuran derivatives).
Suppresses the vital activity of fungal flora. It has a different mechanism of action than other chemotherapeutic agents: microbial flavoproteins restore the 5-nitro group, the resulting highly reactive amino derivatives alter the conformation of proteins, including ribosomal, and other macromolecules, causing cell death. Resistance develops slowly and does not reach a high degree. Increases the absorption capacity of the reticuloendothelial system, enhances phagocytosis.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, bleeding, allergic dermatoses.

sodium chloride 0.8 g.
Dosage and administration
Topically, externally. Outwardly, in the form of aqueous 0.02% (1: 5000) or alcohol 0.066% (1: 1500) solutions - irrigate wounds and apply wet dressings.
Intracavitary (aqueous solution): for sinusitis - rinse the maxillary cavity osteomyelitis after surgery - rinsing the cavity, followed by applying a wet dressing of pleural empyema - after removing pus, the pleural cavity is rinsed and 20-100 ml of the aqueous solution are administered.
To prepare an aqueous solution, 1 part of nitrofural is dissolved in 5000 parts of a 0.9% solution of NaCl or distilled water. The solution is sterilized at 100 deg. C for 30 minutes. An alcohol solution is prepared on 70% ethanol.
For the treatment of burns and frostbite of the I-II century, superficial wounds of the skin and mucous membranes, a gel or ointment is used, which is applied to the damaged areas for 2-3 days.
To wash the sinuses, the paste is diluted with sterile water in a ratio of 1: 1. The same dilution can be used to flush the urethra and bladder with an exposure of 20 minutes.
Side effects
Allergic reactions. For external use - dermatitis.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place at a temperature of no higher than 25 РC.
