Pharmacological action of
Furatsilin - antimicrobial agent. It has a mechanism of action different from other chemotherapeutic agents: microbial flavoproteins, restoring the 5-nitro group, form highly reactive amino derivatives that can cause informational changes in proteins (including ribosomes) and other macromolecules, leading to cell death.
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria: Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Shigella dysenteria spp, Shigella flexneri spp, Shigella boydii spp, Shigella sonnei spp, Escherichia coli, Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella spp. et al.
Sustainability develops slowly and does not reach a high degree. Increases the activity of RES, enhances phagocytosis.
Indications
Outwardly:
- Purulent wounds.
- Pressure ulcers.
- Burns II-III Art.
- Blepharitis.
- Conjunctivitis.
- Boil of the external auditory canal.
- Osteomyelitis.
- Empyema of the paranasal sinuses, pleura (lavage of cavities).
- Acute otitis externa and otitis media.
- Angina.
- Stomatitis.
- Gingivitis.
- Minor skin lesions (including abrasions, scratches, cracks, cuts).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity.
- Bleeding.
- Allergodermatosis.
Special instructions
For the preparation of an aqueous solution, 1 part of nitrofural is dissolved in 5000 parts of an isotonic solution of sodium chloride or distilled water. The finished solution can be stored for a long time.
Composition
1 tablet for solution for local use contains: nitrofural - 0.02 g
Excipients: sodium chloride - 0.8 g
Dosage and administration
Externally: used in the form of an aqueous 0.02% (1: 5000) or alcohol 0.066% (1: 1500) solutions. Irrigate wounds and apply wet dressings.
Intracavitary: washed maxillary and pleural cavity, oral cavity.
To prepare an aqueous solution, 1 part of nitrofural is dissolved in 5000 parts of an isotonic solution of sodium chloride or distilled water. The solution is sterilized at 100 РC. for 30 minutes. An alcohol solution is prepared on 70% ethanol.
Side effects
Possibly: local allergic reactions, dermatitis.
Storage conditions
Keep out of the reach of children, protected from light and cool (8-15 РC).
