NEPHROBAK" ("NEPHROBAC") acts on various mechanisms that make it possible to alleviate the condition in chronic pyelonephritis and prevent its exacerbation.
Characteristics of the components of the "NEFROBAK" ("NEPHROBAC") complex
Numerous literary medical data * have confirmed the effectiveness and safety of the components included in the NEFROBAC complex when used in people with pyelonephritis:
White mulberry extract
White mulberry (Latin Morus alba) or mulberry tree comes from the eastern regions of China, where it has been cultivated for about four thousand years.
Various parts of the mulberry contain many biologically active substances with a wide range of applications.
In particular, mulberry contains: alkaloids (1-deoxinoyrimycin), chalcones, flavonoids (moruzin, cuvanone), stilbenoids (moracin B, chalcomoracin, mulberrofurans).
White mulberry extract in studies inhibited the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (including E. coli, S. Typhimurim, S. Epidermidis, S. Aureus).
At the same time, the extract extracted from the leaves has the greatest effect.
The use of white mulberry extract together with antibiotics enhances their activity and prevents the development of resistance.
It has anti-inflammatory activity and enhances anti-infectious immunity by activating cells of the immune system and increasing the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines (IFN-γ, IL-12, and TNF-α).
Harantine (from Momordica harantia extract)
Momordica harantia (Latin Momordica charantia) or bitter cucumber or Chinese bitter gourd is an annual herbaceous vine growing in the tropics of Southeast Asia, China and the Caribbean, whose fruits have a very bitter taste. Momordica harantia contains a large number of active substances, including alkaloids (momordicin, harin, harantin, momorkhanin), triterpenes, peptides, steroids, phenolic components.
Momordica harantia extract has a proven, pronounced direct antibacterial and antifungal activity against a wide range of pathogens.
In addition, it has synergism with antibiotics for resistant strains of microorganisms (including MRSA).
It does this by blocking penicillin binding protein 2a (PBP2a).
Momordika harantia extract also has an anti-inflammatory effect by reducing the level of inflammation factors, reducing the activity of pro-inflammatory genes.
Baikalin (Baikal Skullcap Extract)
Scutellaria baicalensis is a plant of the Lamb family growing in the Baikal region, Mongolia, Korea, northern China, Amur Region, Primorsky Krai. Various parts of the plant contain unique substances with a wide range of pharmacological activity: baicalin, baicalein, vogonos , wogonin, oroxyloside, etc.
Baikalin - the main active ingredient of the Baikal Skullcap extract has an inhibitory effect on biofilms formed by microorganisms (including Klebsiella pneumonia, Ps. Aerugenosa).
Moreover, model studies have shown that the combination of baicalin and antibiotics (levofloxacin, tobramycinf, ceftazidime) significantly reduced the number of colony forming units in the biofilm to a much greater extent than treatment with antibiotic alone.
Baicalin induces self-absorption of infected immune cells (macrophages), which prevents the formation of pathological chronic inflammation and damage to surrounding tissues.
Baikalin restores the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics by inhibiting efflux (active elimination of the antibiotic from the cell), reducing the activity of drug resistance genes, inhibiting R plasmids, and decreasing the activity of β-lactamases.
