Pharmacological action
The pharmacological effect is due to anti-ischemic, antioxidant, membrane-stabilizing and immunomodulating properties. It prevents the death of hepatocytes, reduces the degree of their fatty infiltration and the spread of centrolobular necrosis of the liver, promotes the regeneration of hepatocytes, normalizes protein, carbohydrate, lipid and pigment exchanges. Increases the amount of synthesis and secretion of bile, normalizes its chemical composition.
Thiotriazolin® enhances the compensatory activation of anaerobic glycolysis, reduces the inhibition of oxidation processes in the Krebs cycle, while maintaining the intracellular ATP fund. The drug activates the antioxidant system and inhibits the processes of lipid oxidation in ischemic areas. Improves the rheological properties of blood (activates the fibrinolytic system). Antioxidant properties are manifested due to the presence of a sulfur ion in the structure of the molecule of Thiotriazolin®, which is characterized by redox features, and tertiary nitrogen, which binds the excess of hydrogen ions. Thiotriazolin® reacts with reactive oxygen species and lipid radicals due to the expressed reducing properties of the thiol group and prevents the occurrence of reactive oxygen species by reactivation of antiradical enzymes - superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase.
Indications
Toxic lesions of the liver, including alcohol, viral and medicinal origin (antibiotics, antitumor, antituberculosis, antiviral drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, oral contraceptives, etc.).
