Monclavit-1 bottle 130ml with spray
DESCRIPTION
Monclavit is a broad-spectrum antiseptic and disinfectant drug, which is a water-polymer system based on iodine in the form of a complex of poly-N-vinylamidecyclosulfoiodide. The solution is transparent, dark brown, foaming when shaken.
COMPOSITION
Crystalline iodine 0.1%; excipients: potassium iodide, high molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone, sodium dodecyl sulfate, distilled water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Antiseptic.
Iodine, which is part of Monclavit-1, has a bactericidal effect against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella enteritidis, Staphyloccocus aureus, etc.), pathogenic fungi, including yeast (РЎandida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus, Penicillium granulalum, Fusarium graminearum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Microsporum canis, Malassezia pachydermalis, etc.) and exhibits bacteriostatic action against mycoplasmas.
The mechanism of action of iodine is determined by its combination with proteins of the microbial cell and blocking its respiratory enzymes.
The complex of iodine with polyvinylpyrrolidone, which is part of Monclavit-1 (polyvinyl-N-amide acyclo sulfoiodide), when applied to integumentary tissues, forms a semi-permeable microscopic hydrophilic film that provides mechanical protection of the treated area and remains until all iodine is released from the complex. Monclavit-1 has a prolonged antiseptic and disinfectant effect.
According to the degree of impact on the body of warm-blooded animals and humans, Monclavit-1 is classified as a low-hazard substance (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76). Does not have a local irritant and sensitizing effect.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of aseptic and infected wounds; treatment of mucous membranes (except for the conjunctiva of the eye); treatment of abscesses, burns, weeping eczema, dermatitis of bacterial and fungal etiology; treatment of mastitis, vulvovaginitis and endometritis; treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of bacterial etiology of calves, piglets and poultry; handling of incubators and hatchers of hatcheries and hatching eggs; aerosol sanitation of the air of livestock buildings; processing of the operating field; processing of the skin of the udder and nipples of dairy cows.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
When applied externally, the drug is applied to the affected areas by irrigation, applications or lubrication. It is recommended to use Monclavit-1 warm, at a temperature of 37-38 В° C. Depending on the size of the wounds and fistulas, the amount of solution should be such as to completely moisten the treated surface, taking into account the existing wound cavities. The processing is carried out once a day. The course of treatments is 7-10 days.
For acute and chronic mastitis, Monclavit-1 is applied externally to the skin of the affected udder lobe after milking 2-3 times a day for 7-14 days. For the prevention of mastitis in animals, Monclavit-1 is applied to the skin of the udder and teats immediately after removing the milking machine from the udder at the end of milking.
For the prevention of endometritis in cows (in case of difficult labor, retention of the placenta, etc.) Monclavit-1 is administered intrauterinely once in a dose of 100-150 ml on the next day after calving. For the treatment of endometritis, the drug is administered intrauterinely at a dose of 100-150 ml 1 time per day for 2-3 days in a row.
For the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of calves of bacterial etiology, Monclavit-1 is administered orally at a dose of 1 ml / kg of animal weight in pure form or mixed with a small amount of colostrum or water 2 times a day for 1-2 days in a row. For therapeutic and prophylactic purposes, the agent is fed to calves in a dose of 50 ml 2 times a day with colostrum on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th, 8th, 9th days after birth. Piglets for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes Monclavit-1 is used during active sucking by spraying the drug on the mammary gland of a sow in a dose of 50-100 ml 1-2 times a day for 7 days. For a bird with a therapeutic and prophylactic purpose, Monclavit-1 is drunk at the rate of 1 ml / kg of body weight or through the watering system at the rate of 8-12 ml / l of water for 4-6 days in a row.
Incubation eggs are treated with Monclavit-1 immediately before being placed in the incubator by immersing them in a container with a product or by irrigating the shell surface, achieving uniform coverage.
Setters and hatchers are treated with Monklavit-1 immediately before setting the hatching eggs by irrigation at the rate of 1 liter per 30 m2 of the inner surface of the cabinet.
Sanitation of the air in the presence of poultry and pigs is carried out by aerosol at the rate of 3 ml / m3 (in poultry houses) and 5 ml / m3 (in pig breeding premises). The aerosol is created using cold fog generators of the SAG type. In poultry houses, air sanitation is carried out according to the scheme: 10-15 minutes - spraying, 30 minutes - exposure, 8-10 aerosol treatments with an interval between treatments 2-3 days or 1 time per week during the entire period of keeping the birds. In queen pigsties, air sanitation is carried out according to the scheme: 10-15 minutes - spraying, 45 minutes - exposure, 1 time per week during the entire period of keeping the animals. At the end of the aerosol exposure, washing the equipment surfaces with water is not required.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Milk and meat for food purposes after using Monclavit-1 is used without restrictions.
Drinking of the drug can be effectively alternated with aerosol use in the presence of a bird and an animal to stimulate the natural resistance of the body.
The use of Monclavit-1 on the days of vaccination is excluded. If it is necessary to use antibiotics, disinfectants containing HOURS, chlorine, an interval of at least 24 hours should be observed. If the water hardness is more than 10 mg eq / l, it is recommended to increase the dose of Monclavit-1 by 10-15%.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to iodine; hyperfunction of the thyroid gland.
SIDE EFFECTS
As a rule, no side effects and complications were observed when used in accordance with this instruction.
