Metronide 50 50ml

DESCRIPTION

Yellow, transparent, viscous liquid with a specific odor, mixes well with water. Glass bottles of 50 ml.

COMPOSITION

1 ml of injection solution contains 50 mg of metronidazole, preservatives and water.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Metronide belongs to the group of nitroimidazoles, has an effect on treponemes, amoebas, balantidia and Trichomonas, as well as on anaerobic bacteria (spore-forming and non-spore-forming). With intramuscular or oral administration, it quickly penetrates into organs and tissues, accumulates in the liver, resorbing into the gastrointestinal tract. It is excreted from the body within 2 days, mainly in the urine.

INDICATIONS

Dysentery and balantidiosis of pigs.

APPLICATION

Metronide is administered intramuscularly at a dose of 1 - 2 ml per 10 kg of live weight (5 - 10 mg of metronidazole per 1 kg of body weight) twice with an interval of 48 hours. No more than 15 ml of the drug should be injected into one place. In severe cases, it is administered once daily for 5 to 7 days. The drug is given orally with drinking water at a dose of 1.5 - 2 ml of the drug per 1 liter of water for 3 days. If necessary, repeat the course of treatment in 10-15 days.

SIDE EFFECTS

Loss of appetite, diarrhea, vomiting, urticaria, itching.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Pregnancy. The introduction of alcohol-containing drugs is unacceptable.

LIMITATIONS

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 10 days after the last injection of the drug.
