Rectally used in adults, 0.5-1 g 3-4 times / day;

One suppository contains:

active substance: dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine (methyluracil) - 500 mg;

base for suppositories: solid fat (Witepsol, brands H 15, W 35, Supposir, brands NA 15, NAS 50) - until a suppository weighing 2.3 g is obtained.

Description

Suppositories of white or white color with a yellowish or creamy shade, torpedo-shaped. The appearance of a white bloom on the surface of the suppository is allowed.

Pharmacological properties

Possesses anabolic activity. It has a hematopoietic, leukopoietic, immunostimulating, anti-inflammatory effect. By normalizing nucleic acid metabolism, it accelerates the processes of cell regeneration in wounds, accelerating the growth and granulation maturation of tissue and epithelization (including in rapidly proliferating cells of the gastrointestinal mucosa), stimulates erythro- and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral factors of immunity.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 8 years of age.

Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding

Special studies concerning the safety of using the drug Methyluracil rectal suppositories in pregnant women and during breastfeeding have not been carried out.

The drug is used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding only if the intended benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Method of administration and dosage

Rectally: 0.5-1 g 3-4 times a day; children 8-15 years old - 500 mg / day. The course of treatment is from 7 days to 4 months, depending on the nature of the disease.
