Indications

Comprehensive therapy of liver diseases, especially alcohol etiology acute alcohol intoxication chronic alcoholism alcohol withdrawal syndrome.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug pregnancy lactation.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated.

Composition

Active ingredient:

Methadoxine (pyridoxine L-2 pyrrolidone 5-carboxylate), 300 mg

Inactive ingredients:

Sodium metabisulfite sodium edetate methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate water for injection

Dosage and administration of

In acute alcohol intoxication, 300-600 mg (5-10 ml) or iv 300-900 mg (5-15 ml) are administered depending on the degree of intoxication.

With iv administration, the required dose of the drug is diluted in 500 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution or 5% dextrose (glucose) solution and administered dropwise for 1.5 hours.

Toxic liver damage of alcoholic etiology, prevention of the formation of cirrhosis of alcoholic origin and chronic alcoholism: inside 500 mg (1 tablet) 2 (1 g /) 15-30 minutes before a meal. The dose can be increased to 500 mg 3 (1.5 g /) or injected in a dose of 300 mg (5 ml) / The course of treatment is at least 90 days.

Side effects

Possibly: an allergic reaction. In patients with bronchial asthma, bronchospasm may develop.

Drug Interactions

When used together, it reduces the effectiveness of levodopa.
