Enhances the local anesthetic effect of procaine hydrochloride and benzocaine when used simultaneously as part of a combined preparation.
Procaine hydrochloride is a local anesthetic with moderate anesthetic activity. Blocks sodium channels, prevents the generation of impulses in the endings of the sensory nerves and the conduction of impulses along the nerve fibers.
