Pharmacological action
Mataren® Plus has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, decongestant effect. May cause mild local hyperemia of the skin, without exerting a pronounced irritant effect on the skin.
Mataren® Plus reduces pain in the joints (including the joints of the spine) and in the muscles at rest and during movement, helps to increase the volume of movement of the joints (in the area of the cream). Reduces morning stiffness and swelling of the joints.
Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, disrupts the metabolism of arachidonic acid, and reduces the number of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the focus of inflammation.
Tincture of capsicum contains capsaicin, which has an irritating effect on sensitive skin receptors, which leads to a local analgesic effect, to improve blood circulation in the skin and subcutaneous tissue. Improving local blood flow is accompanied by increased circulation in the underlying tissues, which helps to remove the substrate of inflammation from the pathological focus.
When combined with meloxicam and capsaicin, they have a greater effect due to synergism compared to the individual effect of each of these components.

Indications
Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Rheumatic soft tissue lesions.
Pain: bursitis, tendonitis, lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, sciatica, post-traumatic pain syndrome (traumatic bruises, dislocations, sprains, muscles and tendons, muscle breaks without violating the integrity of the skin), sore muscles and joints caused by heavy physical exertion.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, children (up to 12 years old), impaired skin integrity and inflammatory skin diseases at the site of the intended application.
With caution
In case of impaired renal and hepatic function, with a pronounced pathology of the gastrointestinal tract (gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute phase), with severe pathology of the blood system, in childhood (from 12 to 18 years).
You should consult your doctor before using Mataren® Plus cream with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and if you need to use the drug for more than 10 days.
Special instructions
Avoid contact with damaged skin surfaces, eyes and mucous membranes.

Excipients: dim ethyl sulfoxide, coriander oil, lavender oil, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, 50 stearic acid, distilled monoglycerides (Dimodan HP), emulsion wax, glycerol, poloxamer (emuxol-268), carbomer, sodium hydroxide, imidourea, water.
Dosage and Administration
Externally. Lightly rub a strip of cream with a length of 1 to 5 cm, the frequency of use - 1-3 times a day. The amount of cream and frequency of application may vary depending on the area of ​​application and the individual reaction to the cream. To enhance the effect, you can apply a dry warming dressing.
Side effects
