DESCRIPTION
Maxidine - eye and intranasal drops for the treatment of rhinitis, conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis in dogs and cats. In appearance, Maxidine 0.15 is a colorless transparent liquid.
COMPOSITION
Maxidine 0.15 contains in 1 ml as an active ingredient: 1.5 mg bis (pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate) germanium, and as auxiliary substances: 5.5 mg sodium chloride, 0.00008 ml monoethanolamine and water for injections - up to 1.0 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Maxidine 0.15 refers to immunomodulatory drugs, interferon inducers.
It has a pronounced immunomodulatory and interferon-inducing activity, has a stimulating effect on humoral and cellular immunity.
The active ingredient of the drug is an inducer of interferons, blocks the translation of viral proteins, stimulates natural resistance, increases the activity of the effector cells of the immune system (macrophages, T- and B-lymphocytes).
According to the degree of effect on the body, Maxidin 0.15 belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritant, allergenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effect.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Maxidine 0.15 is used as an immunomodulatory drug for the treatment of rhinitis, conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis of various etiologies in dogs and cats.
Maxidine 0.15 is instilled 1-2 drops 2-3 times a day into the nose or eyes until recovery, but no more than 14 days.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Overdose symptoms have not been identified.
The peculiarities of the action at the first use of the drug and at its cancellation were not revealed.
Avoid gaps in the introduction of the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. If you miss one dose, you must enter it as soon as possible. Further, the interval until the next injection of the drug does not change.
The use of Maxidin 0.15 does not restrict the use of other drugs, feed additives and feed.
The drug is not intended for use in productive animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of drops Maxidin 0.15 is the increased individual sensitivity of animals to the components of the drug.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using Maxidin 0.15 in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications are usually not observed. In the event of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines are prescribed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Drops of Maxidin 0.15 should be stored in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 4 В° C to 25 В° C.
The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of production.

Maxidine 0.15 is released packaged in 5 ml in glass bottles of appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers, crimped aluminum caps. The vials are placed in cardboard boxes of 5 pieces together with instructions for use.
