Masttest AF 100ml
DESCRIPTION
Masttest-AF (Masttest-AF) - a diagnostic tool in the form of a solution, designed to diagnose mastitis in cows.
COMPOSITION
Sulfonol, bromothymol blue indicator and distilled water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Sulfanol, as a surfactant, interacts with the DNA of the nuclei of somatic milk cells to form a clot of various densities, the content of which in milk increases in the presence of udder inflammation. At the same time, due to the change in the pH of the milk, the indicator changes the color of the mixture from dark green to blue.
According to the degree of exposure to the body, Masttest-AF according to GOST 12.1.007 refers to low-toxic substances (hazard class 4)
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Masttest-AF is used to diagnose mastitis and assess the results of treatment by staging a qualitative reaction with a milk sample from a single milk yield of a cow during control milking. Studies are carried out from the first day after calving, during lactation and start-up.
Research is carried out on milk control plates PMK-2. 1 ml of milk is pipetted into the well of the plate, 1 ml of Masttest-AF is added and mixed by rotating the plate in a horizontal plane for 10-15 seconds.
The reaction is taken into account by the degree of formation of a jelly-like clot, which is the main criterion for evaluating the reaction with the diagnosticum, and by the change in the color of the mixture. The reaction is considered negative (-) if the mixture of milk with Masttest-AF remains in the form of a homogeneous liquid, and the color of the mixture is from yellow to yellow-orange. The reaction is considered doubtful if the mixture of milk with the diagnosticum hardly noticeably thickens or forms an unformed jelly (+/-), and the color of the mixture is from light green to green. The reaction is considered positive if the mixture of milk with the diagnosticum forms a formed jelly-like clot that easily slips out of the well (+) or a dense clot that is hardly ejected from the well of the plate (++), and the color of the mixture is from dark green to blue.
If there is a positive milk reaction in cows, parenchymal milk from each quarter of the udder is examined using Masttest-AF diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 4. To do this, add 100 ml of Masttest-AF and 400 ml of distilled or pure tap water to a glass flask with a capacity of 1 liter and mix thoroughly.
The reaction is carried out in the same way as when using the Masttest-AF. The reaction is considered positive if the mixture of milk with the diagnosticum forms a formed jelly-like clot that easily slips out of the well (+) or a dense clot that is hardly ejected from the well of the plate (++), and the color of the mixture is from dark green to blue.
