pharmachologic effect

Combined homeopathic preparation.

It has a dopaminergic effect, due to which the secretion of prolactin by the adenohypophysis decreases.

At the same time, the production of gonadotropic hormones of the pituitary gland is normalized, which leads to the elimination of the insufficiency of the corpus luteum and the associated menstrual irregularities and infertility.

With a decrease in the content of prolactin, prerequisites are created for the reverse development of the pathological process in fibrocystic mastopathy.

In this case, the therapeutic effect occurs, as a rule, after 6 weeks.

Pharmacokinetics

The effect of Mastodinon® is the cumulative effect of its components, therefore, kinetic studies are not possible

collectively, the components cannot be traced using markers or bio-research.

Side effects

Possibly: allergic reactions.

Very rare: stomach pains, nausea, slight weight gain, itchy exanthema, acne, headaches.

Also, in connection with the content of Agnus castus, temporary psychomotor agitation, confusion and hallucinations may occur (in these cases, the drug must be canceled).

The drops contain 47-53 vol.% Ethanol, therefore, this dosage form is not recommended to be prescribed after successful treatment of chronic alcoholism.

Due to the lactose content, Mastodinon® in tablet form should not be used to treat patients suffering from hereditary galactose intolerance, genetic lactase deficiency, or glucose or galactose malabsorption.

Mastodinon® is not used for the treatment of breast cancer.

Drug interactions

Possible weakening of the action of Mastodinon when used together with dopamine antagonists.
