Contraception (pregnancy prevention).

The package contains 21 tablets. Each tablet tells you which day of the week it should be taken.
The tablets are taken orally, every day, at about the same time, with a little water.
Follow the direction of the arrows until all pills have been taken. Do not take pills for the next 7 days. During this period, menstruation should begin (bleeding after drug withdrawal). Menstruation usually begins 2-3 days after the last tablet is taken. On the 8th day, even if your period continues, start taking the pills from the next pack.

How to start taking Marvelon

• If you have not used oral contraceptives within the last month: start taking Marvelon on the first day of your menstrual cycle (the first day of your period). You can also start taking Marvelon 2-5 days after the start of the menstrual cycle, but in this case, you must use additional non-hormonal methods of contraception during the first 7 days of taking the pills in the first cycle.

• When switching from injections or implant: start using Marvelon on the day the next injection is due or on the day the implant is removed. During the first seven days of taking Marvelon tablets, you must use additional methods of contraception.

• After childbirth: It is recommended to wait until the first normal menstrual period before starting to take Marvelon. If you are breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor.

• After miscarriage or abortion: Follow your doctor's instructions.

If you want to stop taking Marvelon
you can do it anytime you want. If you stop taking the drug because you want to get pregnant, it is usually recommended to wait until your first natural period before trying to conceive. This will allow you to predict your baby's due date.

What to do in case of missing the next dose of the drug
If you are late with the next tablet by less than 12 hours, then the effectiveness of the drug remains.
Take the missed pill as soon as you remember, and take the subsequent pills at the usual time.
If you are more than 12 hours late in taking the next pill, the effectiveness of the drug may be reduced. The more pills you miss, the higher the risk of reduced contraceptive effectiveness.
The risk of pregnancy is especially high if you skip the pills at the beginning or at the end of the pack.

1 missed tablet in the 3rd week
You can choose one of the following regimens without using additional contraception.
1. Take the missed pills as soon as you remember (even if you have to take two pills at the same time) and take the next pills at the usual time. Start the next package as soon as the current one ends, without taking a break in taking the drug. Withdrawal bleeding may not occur until the end of the second pack of the drug, but spotting spotting or unexpectedly heavy bleeding may occur on the days of taking the pills.
2. Stop taking pills from the current pack, take a break of 7 days or less (considering the day you missed the pill) and start taking the pills from the next pack. In this case, you can always start taking pills from the next pack on the same day of the week as usual.

If You Have Unexpected Bleeding
As with other oral contraceptives, during the first few months you may experience irregular vaginal bleeding (spotting or sudden vaginal bleeding) between your periods. In this case, taking the drug should be continued as usual.
The appearance of intermenstrual bleeding during the first three months of administration does not mean that the contraceptive effect is reduced or that the drug is not suitable for you.
Irregular vaginal bleeding usually stops after your body has adjusted to the drug (usually three pill cycles). If bleeding continues or becomes profuse, see your doctor.

If you are missing your period
If you took all the tablets on time, you have not had vomiting or diarrhea, you have not taken other medications, then you are unlikely to be pregnant. Continue to take Marvelon as usual.
If you have not had your period twice in a row, you may be pregnant. Do not start new packaging until your doctor has ruled out pregnancy.

• the presence of severe or multiple risk factors for venous or arterial thrombosis (see 'Side Effects');

• the presence at present or in the history of severe liver disease (if the liver function indicators have not returned to normal);

• the presence or history of liver tumors (benign and malignant);

• established or suspected hormone-dependent malignant tumor of the genitals or mammary glands;

• vaginal bleeding of unknown etiology;

• established or suspected pregnancy, lactation period;

• hypersensitivity to any component of the drug;

• migraine with focal neurological symptoms;

• hypertriglyceridemia.
  If the drug is used against the background of one of the conditions listed below, you may need to be monitored regularly by your doctor.

Before you start taking the drug, be sure to tell your doctor about the following conditions / diseases:

Marvelon is a combined oral contraceptive. Each tablet contains a small amount of two different female sex hormones - desogestrel (progestogen) and ethinyl estradiol (estrogen). Due to the small amounts of hormones, Marvelon is classified as a low-dose oral contraceptive. Since all pills in the pack contain the same amount of the same hormones, Marvelon belongs to monophasic combined oral contraceptives.
The drug also has an additional non-contraceptive pharmacological effect:

• while taking the drug, menstruation becomes less abundant and painful;

• women taking birth control pills are less likely to experience anemia, some diseases of the uterus, ovaries, mammary glands;

• has a beneficial effect on the skin, especially improving its condition with acne vulgaris.
  After stopping the drug, the ability to conceive is quickly restored.

ѕобочное действие

vоловна¤ боль, гастралги¤, тошнота, рвота; болезненность и нагрубание молочных желез; повышение массы тела, нарушение толерантности к глюкозе, задержка жидкости в организме, изменение либидо, снижение настроени¤, отек век, кожна¤ сыпь, узлова¤ эритема, конъюнктивит, непри¤тные ощущени¤ при ношении контактных линз, тромбофлебит, тромбоэмболи¤ (может про¤вл¤тьс¤ нарушени¤ми воспри¤ти¤: нарушение зрени¤, снижение слуха), генерализованный зуд, холестатическа¤ желтуха, холелитиаз, повышение ј?, межменструальное кровотечение, изменение влагалищной секреции возможно развитие кандидоза влагалища.
ѕри длительном применении (крайне редко) Ц хлоазма, гепатоцеллюл¤рна¤ аденома.

ѕередозировка
ќ серьезных последстви¤х приема большого количества таблеток ћарвелон не сообщалось. ?сли ¬ы прин¤ли сразу несколько таблеток, у ¬ас может возникнуть тошнота, рвота, вагинальное кровотечение. ?сли ¬ы обнаружили, что ребенок проглотил таблетку, обратитесь к врачу.

¬заимодействие с другими препаратами и другие формы взаимодействий
¬заимодействие с некоторыми лекарственными препаратами может привести к обильным кровотечени¤м и неэффективности оральных контрацептивов. “акие случаи наблюдались при приеме гидантоинов, барбитуратов, примидона, карбамазепина, рифампицина, изониазида; они возможны при назначении окскарбамазепина, топирамата, фелбамата и гризеофульвина. —нижение эффективности оральных контрацептивов также наблюдалось при приеме некоторых антибиотиков, таких как ампициллин, тетрациклин, неомицин, пенициллины, хлорамфеникол, а также активированного угл¤, слабительных средств.
ћарвелон уменьшает эффективность пероральных антикоагул¤нтов, анксиолитиков (диазепам), трициклических антидепрессантов, теофиллина, кофеина, гипогликемических препаратов, клофибрата, глюкокортикостероидов.

ќбратитесь к врачу немедленно, если:

• у ¬ас уплотнение в молочной железе;

• собираетесь принимать другие лекарства;

• ¬ы вынуждены соблюдать постельный режим (во врем¤ болезни, после травмы) или ¬ам предстоит операци¤;

• у ¬ас очень интенсивное или длительное влагалищное кровотечение;

• ¬ы пропустили прием таблетки в первую неделю, и у ¬ас был половой контакт за семь дней до этого;

• ¬ы подозреваете что беременны.

ѕрекратите прием препарата и немедленно обратитесь к врачу, если ¬ы заметили возможные признаки тромбоза:

• необычный кашель,

• сильную боль за грудиной, котора¤ может отдавать в левую руку;

• одышку;

• необычную, сильную боль или длительную головную боль или приступ мигрени;

• частичную или полную потерю зрени¤ или двоение в глазах;
