DESCRIPTION

Marboflocin 10% (Marboflocinum 10%) is an effective broad-spectrum antibacterial drug. It is a clear yellow liquid.

COMPOSITION

The active ingredient is marbofloxacin at a concentration of 100 mg / ml.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Marboflocin 10% refers to antibacterial drugs of the fluoroquinolone group. The drug has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action, based on the suppression of bacterial enzymes DNA mirase and topoisomerase IV, involved in DNA replication of microorganisms.

Marbofloxacin is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, incl. Eschericllia coli, Salmone / La spp., Citrobacter freund1i, Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Кlebsiella spp., Pasteu, ella spp., Haemophilus spp. • lvfa, • a: xella spp., Pseudomonas spp., S1apl1ylococcus Stt eptococcus spp. And also Mycoplasma spp.

After intramuscular and / or subcutaneous administration of the drug, marbofloxacin is well absorbed from the injection site and penetrates into most organs and tissues of the body. The bioavailability of marbofloxacin is more than 80%. The maximum concentration of marbofloxacin in the blood plasma of calves and piglets is reached in 0.5-1.5 hours. Marbofloxacin weakly binds to blood plasma backbones in pigs - by 10%, in cattle - by 30%. The concentration of marbofloxacin in organs is higher than the concentration in blood plasma. The half-life in calves is 5-9 hours, in cattle with cicatricial digestion - 4-7 hours, in pigs 8 - 10 hours.

Marbofloxacin is excreted from the body of animals mainly unchanged in urine and feces.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Marboflocin 10% is used to treat cattle with pathology of the respiratory organs, digestive system, mastitis caused by microorganism strains sensitive to marboflocin; for the treatment of pigs with respiratory diseases of bacterial etiology and MMA syndrome.

Marboflocin 10% is administered to animals once a day in cattle - subcutaneously, intramuscularly; pigs - intramuscularly, in a daily dose of 1 ml of the drug per 50 kg of animal weight. The duration of a course of treatment for cattle is 3 to 5 days, for pigs - 3 days.

The maximum volume of the drug for injection in one place should not exceed 20 ml.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Slaughter of cattle for meat is allowed no earlier than 4 days after repeated administration of the drug at a dose of 2 mg / kg and 5 days - np and a single administration of the drug at a dose of 8 mg / kg, pigs - 3 days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used as feed for fur animals. Milk obtained from cows treated with 10% marboflocin should not be used for food purposes during the treatment period and within 24 hours after the drug is stopped.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to the use of Marboflocin 10% is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.

The drug is not recommended for use in animals with lesions of the central nervous system and in the case of resistance of the pathogen to other fluoroquinolones.

In the event of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines are prescribed to the animal, and symptomatic treatment is carried out if necessary.

The joint use of the drug with antibiotics of the macrolide groups, tetracycline, amphenicolamne, nitrofurans, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is contraindicated.

SIDE EFFECTS

When using the drug in the recommended dose, side effects in pigs and cattle were not identified. In rare cases, an inflammatory reaction may occur at the injection site.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Marboflocin 10% is stored according to list B in the manufacturer's packaging separately from food and feed, in a place protected from direct sunlight at temperatures from + 5 to + 30 В° C.

Shelf life is 3 years from the date of production or if the storage and transportation conditions are observed in the manufacturer's closed packaging. Shelf life after first opening the bottle is 28 days. It is forbidden to use the drug after the expiration date.
