Magnesium deficiency and related conditions.

Adults: 1-2 tablets.

Children from 6 to 12 years old - 1/2 tablet.

Take in the morning, after dissolving in a glass of water.

Magnesium lactate - 200 mg

Magnesium carbonate - 100 mg

Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) - 2 mg

Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) - 0.001 mg

Folic acid - 0.2 mg

Excipients: sodium bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate), citric acid, sodium saccharinate, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol (macrogol), aromatic additive.

- Severe renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min).

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

- Children under 6 years old.

With caution: with moderate renal failure, as there is a risk of developing hypermagnesemia.

DESCRIPTION:

Round flat-cylindrical tablets with a beveled edge, white or white with a slightly yellowish-greenish tinge, with a dividing strip on one side, with a weak specific odor.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT:

Magnesium is a vital element. Plays an important role in the activity of the nervous system, participates in the regulation of the transmission of nerve impulses and in muscle contraction, in most metabolic reactions, promotes the production and consumption of energy, plays an important physiological role in maintaining ionic balance.

Magnesium deficiency manifests itself in the form of neuromuscular disorders (muscle weakness, tremors, spasms, convulsions), mental disorders (insomnia, irritability, anxiety), cardiac arrhythmias (extrasystole, tachycardia) and gastrointestinal tract activity (pain, diarrhea, cramping, bloating).

Vitamin B6 plays an important role in metabolism, helps to maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums; has an effect on erythropoiesis, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and complements the effect of magnesium.

Vitamin B12 and folic acid are involved in many enzymatic reactions.

Contraindications

PERIOD OF PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:

The drug can be used during pregnancy only as directed by a doctor.

Magnesium penetrates into breast milk, therefore, the use of the drug should be avoided during breastfeeding.

Side effect

Allergic reactions, dyspeptic disorders (diarrhea, abdominal pain). When used in higher doses, hypermagnesemia may develop.

OVERDOSE:

Overdose symptoms: drop in blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, slow reflexes, respiratory depression, coma, cardiac arrest and cardiac paralysis, anuria.

Treatment: rehydration, forced diuresis. Renal failure requires hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.

Interaction with other medicinal products

Phosphates and calcium salts reduce the absorption of magnesium in the gastrointestinal tract. Magnesium preparations reduce the absorption of tetracycline, it is recommended to do an interval of 3 hours before using MAGNESIUM PLUS. Vitamin B6 inhibits the activity of Levodopa.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

In the case of concomitant calcium deficiency, the magnesium deficiency should be corrected before starting the administration of additional calcium intake.

With frequent use of laxatives, alcohol, increased physical and mental stress, the need for magnesium increases.

RELEASE FORM:

Effervescent tablets. 10, 12 tablets in a plastic case. 1 pencil case in a cardboard box or in an envelope box with a hanging device with instructions for use.
