Magestrofan 10ml
DESCRIPTION
MagestrofanВ® (Magestrofan) is an injection solution for the prevention, treatment of gynecological diseases and synchronization of the sexual cycle in female farm animals. In appearance, the drug is a clear liquid from light yellow to yellow.
COMPOSITION
Magestrofan in 1 ml contains cloprostenol in the form of sodium salt - 0.25 mg as an active ingredient, and as auxiliary components: nipagin - 0.5 mg, as well as water for injection.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pharmacological group - hormones and their antagonists.
Cloprostenol is a synthetic analogue of the natural prostaglandin F 2?. It has a specific luteolytic effect on the corpus luteum of the ovaries. It is rapidly metabolized in the body of animals and excreted within 24 hours after application.
The use of Magestrofan in the luteal phase of the astral cycle causes a regression of the corpus luteum, which contributes to the development of folliculogenesis, maturation of follicles, the synthesis of estrogens and, as a consequence, the onset of estrus and ovulation.
Magestrofan, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Magestrofan is used for the prevention and treatment of gynecological diseases (luteal cysts, persistent corpus luteum, subinvolution of the uterus, endometritis), ovarian dysfunction (quiet hunting, anovulatory cycle), synchronization of the sexual cycle in female farm animals, as well as for termination of pregnancy in fetal pathology.
Magestrofan is administered intramuscularly to animals.
