LTF vaccine - 201 Arm (10 doses) 10 ml
DESCRIPTION
LTF-201 Arm - vaccine against trichophytosis of cattle. In appearance, the vaccine is a dry porous mass from gray to beige in the form of a tablet, when shaken easily lags behind the walls of the vial, when adding a diluent for dry vaccines against animal dermatophytosis or isotonic sodium chloride solution, or water for injection, or chilled boiled water the vaccine is quickly resuspended, forming a homogeneous suspension.
COMPOSITION
The vaccine is made from an attenuated culture of the fungus Trichophyton verrucosum TV-201 VGNKI, subjected to freeze-drying with a protective sucrose-gelatin medium (10% sucrose, 2% gelatin) in a 1: 1 ratio.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pharmacotherapeutic group: immunobiological drugs for veterinary use.
The vaccine induces the formation of immunity in vaccinated animals 25 - 30 days after the second administration of the vaccine and lasts for seven years.
One immunizing dose (1 cm3) of the vaccine contains at least 1 million viable microconidia of the attenuated culture of the fungus Trichophyton verrucosum TV-201 VGNKI.
The vaccine is harmless, areactogenic, and has therapeutic properties.
PURPOSE
The vaccine is intended for the prevention and treatment of trichophytosis in cattle. All livestock should be clinically examined prior to vaccine administration.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Before use, the vaccine is dissolved at the rate of: 1 cm3 of a diluent for dry vaccines against animal dermatophytosis or isotonic sodium chloride solution, or water for injection, or chilled boiled water per 1 dose of vaccine. To do this, a diluent is collected with a sterile syringe and, in compliance with the rules of asepsis, is introduced into the vial with the vaccine.
The vaccine is shaken quickly. is resuspended, forming a homogeneous suspension.
The hair at the injection site is pre-cut, and the skin is disinfected with 70% ethyl alcohol or other disinfectant solution. When the vaccine is administered, the rules of asepsis and antiseptics are observed.
The vaccine is injected intramuscularly into the chest, neck or posterior femoral muscle group twice with an interval between injections of 10-14 days in the following doses:
Age of animals Prophylactic dose (cm3) 1 vaccination Prophylactic dose (cm3) 2 vaccinations Therapeutic dose (cm3) 1 vaccination Therapeutic dose (cm3) 2 vaccinations
Calves from 1 to 4 months 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0
Calves over 4 months old and adult animals 2.0 2.0 4.0 4.0
The therapeutic effect is manifested 20-30 days after the second injection of the vaccine and is expressed in thinning, rejection of trichophytosis crusts and the beginning of new hair growth.
Animals with extensive skin lesions should be injected with the vaccine for the third time in the same doses 10-14 days after the second injection.
In farms (farms, herds), where animals sick with trichophytosis are found, all livestock are vaccinated with therapeutic doses of the vaccine.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of trichophytosis or other pathological signs in case of an overdose of the vaccine have not been established.
The use of the vaccine for pregnant animals and animals during lactation, as well as in offspring obtained from vaccinated animals, does not cause side effects and complications.
Violations of the schedule (timing) of vaccination should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of trichophytosis.
If the next vaccine injection is missed, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to vaccinate animals with a high body temperature, weakened, sick with infectious and non-infectious diseases, as well as in the second half of pregnancy.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the vaccine in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not noted.
In vaccinated animals, 10-15 days after the second injection, a localized superficial crust with a diameter of up to 20 mm is formed at the vaccine injection site, which spontaneously rejects after 25-30 days without additional treatment. To accelerate the rejection of trichophytosis crusts, it is recommended to treat the affected areas with softening agents: petroleum jelly, fish oil, etc.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 18 months from the date of issue, subject to storage and transportation conditions. After opening the vial, the vaccine must be used within 2 hours. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use. The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 10 В° C.
PACKAGING
The vaccine is packaged in sterile glass vials with a capacity of 10 ml (10 doses). Vaccine vials are filled with inert gas or sterile dried air, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers and reinforced with aluminum caps.
