DESCRIPTION

Liniment Sintomycin 10% is a drug for external use, has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and wound healing effect.

COMPOSITION

The synthomycin liniment contains 10 g of chloramphenicol D, L (synthomycin) as an active substance in 100 g, as well as auxiliary substances (castor oil, MGD-1, sorbic acid, Na-CMC, antifoam agent Penta-465, distilled water - up to 100 d).

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The active ingredient of syntomycin liniment 10% is syntomycin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic. The mechanism of antimicrobial action is associated with a violation of the synthesis of proteins of microorganisms. It has a bacteriostatic effect. Active against gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp .; gram-negative bacteria: Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Serratia spp., Yersinia spp., Proteus spp., Rickettsia spp .; also active against Spirochaetaceae, some large viruses.

APPLICATION

Liniment Sintomycin 10% is intended for the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes (pustular skin lesions, furunculosis, carbunculosis, purulent wounds, burns, long-term non-healing ulcers, cracked skin of the udder nipples) as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and wound healing agent.

Liniment Sintomycin 10% is used externally. Gauze tampons are impregnated with liniment or the drug is applied directly to the affected area or wound. A regular bandage is applied on top, it is possible with parchment or compress paper. When treating severe infected wounds, burns and long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers, dressings are made in 1-3 days, sometimes in 4-5 days.

SIDE EFFECTS

Liniment Syntomycin 10% does not cause side effects and complications in animals when used in accordance with this Instructions. The peculiarities of the body's reactions when using the drug have not been established.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The drug is contraindicated in case of individual hypersensitivity to its components, hepatic and renal insufficiency, skin diseases caused by fungi, psoriasis, eczema.

Slaughter products and animal meat, subject to the completion of medical procedures, are sold without restrictions.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

It is forbidden to use Liniment Syntomycin 10% after its expiration date.

STORAGE

The drug should be stored in a dry, dark place out of the reach of children at a temperature of 0 В° C to 25 В° C. The shelf life is 24 months.
