DESCRIPTION
Lincomycin 10% is an injection solution for the treatment of diseases of bacterial etiology in animals. It is a transparent, colorless or slightly yellowish liquid with a pH of 3.0 to 6.0.
COMPOSITION
Lincomycin 10% solution in 1 ml contains lincomycin - 100 mg as an active ingredient, and as auxiliary components: Trilon B - 0.1 mg, nipagin - 1.0 mg, as well as water for injection up to 1 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Lincomycin 10% solution belongs to the antibacterial drugs of the lincosamide group. Lincomycin is most active against most gram-positive microorganisms, including staphylococci, streptococci, pneumococci, clostridia, corynobacteria, and mycoplasmas. It is active against microorganisms, especially staphylococci that are resistant to other antibiotics. Resistance of microorganisms to lincomycin is developed slowly.
Lincomycin does not act on gram-negative bacteria, fungi and viruses.
The mechanism of action is associated with the suppression of protein synthesis in microbial cells.
The maximum concentration of the antibiotic in the blood is reached 20-40 minutes after injection. The therapeutic concentration is maintained for 16-24 hours. Lincomycin is quickly and well absorbed from the injection site and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body, including bone tissue. Lincomycin does not undergo biotransformation in the body and is excreted mainly unchanged in the urine and bile.
Lincomycin 10% solution according to the degree of exposure to the body refers to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Lincomycin 10% is used in pigs, calves, dogs and cats for the treatment of respiratory diseases, actinomycosis, osteomyelitis and other diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to antibiotics.
The drug is indicated for the treatment of swine enzootic pneumonia and dysentery, as well as for the treatment of swine bacterial arthritis caused by Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., And Mycoplasma spp.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed three days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used for feeding fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.
SIDE EFFECTS
In some cases, allergic reactions, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia are possible. With prolonged use, candidiasis may occur. Excessive doses in piglets sometimes lead to diarrhea. With rapid intravenous administration, a decrease in blood pressure, general weakness, relaxation of skeletal muscles.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The drug is contraindicated in case of individual hypersensitivity to lincomycin, pregnant women, lactating women, as well as animals with severe liver and kidney diseases. The use of lincomycin is not allowed in animals with developed cicatricial digestion (adult cattle and small ruminants).
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Store the medicinal product in the manufacturer's closed packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C.
The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
