Pharmacological action
Combined drug with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, necrolytic and dehydrating effect. The presence of chloramphenicol causes a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect. It is active against a variety of microflora, which is the causative agent of purulent surgical infection. In combination with the base, the antimicrobial activity of chloramphenicol increases. The dehydration effect of the ointment is several times greater than the effect of a hypertonic sodium chloride solution (table salt).
The presence of methyluracil in the ointment reduces inflammation, normalizes and increases the resistance of cells to damaging factors, stimulates the processes of cell regeneration.
