DESCRIPTION
Letobactan (Letobaktanum) the drug is prescribed for all diseases, the causative agents of which are sensitive to cefkinoma. In appearance it is a white to cream suspension. Delamination during storage is allowed.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of the drug contains 25 mg of cefkinoma.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Cefkinoma sulfate, which is part of the drug - 4th generation cephalosporin, has a broad spectrum of antibacterial action against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichiacoli, Klebsielapneumoniae, Enterobacterspp., Staphylococcusaureus, Streptococcussuspp., , Klebsiellaspp., Pasterellaspp., Proteusspp., Salmonellaspp., Serratiamarcescens, Histophilussomni, Arcanobacteriumpyogenes, Bacillusspp., Corynebacteriumspp., Bacteroidesspp., Fusobacteriumspp., Prevotellaspp., Prevotellaspp. and Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, including ОІ-lactamase-producing strains.
The mechanism of the antibiotic bactericidal action is to inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. After parenteral administration of the drug, cefkin enters the systemic circulation, reaching a maximum serum concentration in cattle after 60-90 minutes, in pigs after 15-60 minutes and remains at a therapeutic level for 24 hours. Cefkin binds to serum proteins in less than 5%, is relatively quickly excreted from the body (half-life in cattle - 2-2.5 hours, in pigs - 9 hours), mainly unchanged in the urine.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases, as well as prescribed for all diseases, the causative agents of which are sensitive to cefkinoma (pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, staphylococci, streptococci, colibacillosis, etc.) The drug is used to treat respiratory diseases in cattle caused by Pasteurellamulitocida, P. interdigital dermatitis of bacterial origin, necrobacteriosis and acute mastitis, including those caused by E. coli; Escherichiosis (colibacillosis) in calves; respiratory diseases of pigs caused by Pasterellamultocida, Haemofillusparasuis, Actinobacilluspleuropneumaniae; MMA syndrome (mastitis - metritis - agalactia), meningitis, arthritis, dermatitis, as well as other diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to cefkin.
