Klimara plaster 3,8mg, No. 4

Hormone replacement therapy for disorders caused by natural or surgical menopause (only in the case of non-cancerous diseases): vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes, sweating), sleep disturbances, atrophic processes.

Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis.

Skin.

Treatment of symptoms of climacteric syndrome. Treatment begins with the lowest dose of the KlimaraЃ patch. If necessary, you can use a higher dose patch. Once the dose has been adjusted, the lowest effective dosage of the patch should be used to relieve symptoms.

Prevention of osteoporosis. Treatment to prevent postmenopausal bone loss should be started immediately after menopause. Long-term treatment based on an individual approach is recommended. Treatment should be carried out either continuously or cyclically.

When switching from long-term continuous or cyclic therapy: treatment should be started the next day after the end of the previous treatment regimen. Estrogen-only therapy is used if the woman has had a hysterectomy. In women with an intact uterus, the progestogen should be added to treatment with KlimaraЃ for 10-14 days every month. When using a patch that releases more than 50 ?g of hormone / day, no protective effect on the endometrium with the addition of progestogens was found.

The patch should be applied on a weekly basis on a continuous basis, each used patch should be removed after 7 days, after which a fresh patch should be reattached. Patches can also be recommended for cyclic treatments. In this case, the patch is applied weekly for 3 consecutive weeks, followed by a 7-day interval without patch attachment until the next course of treatment.

Menstrual bleeding normally develops 2-3 days after stopping the progestogen intake.

Plaster attachment technique. After removing the protective film, the KlimaraЃ patch is attached with the adhesive side to a clean, dry area of ??skin along the spine or on the buttocks. ClimaraЃ should not be attached in the area of ??the mammary glands or near them. The area chosen for fixing the patch should not be oily, damaged or irritated, and the waist area should also be avoided as rubbing with tight clothing may cause the patch to come off. Avoid sticking the patch to areas of the skin where the patch may move while sitting. The patch should be attached immediately after opening the package and removing the protective film. The patch should be firmly pressed with the palm of the hand to the place of fixation for about 10 seconds. Make sure there is good skin contact, especially around the edges. If the patch is loose, for better adhesion, press down on it. The place of application should be changed with an interval of at least 1 week between applications. If the patch is attached correctly, the patient can bathe in the bathtub or shower as usual. However, the patch can come loose from the skin when exposed to very hot water or in a sauna.

Untimely replacement or loss of the patch. If the patch comes off before the end of the 7-day treatment, you can try it again. If necessary, you can apply a new patch for the remaining days from the 7-day interval.

If the patient has forgotten to change the patch in time, the replacement should be made as soon as possible after the fact of the pass has been established. A new patch should be used after the end of the normal 7-day treatment period.
