pharmachologic effect

Anti-climacteric drug.

The amino acid β-alanine counteracts the rapid release of histamine, but does not have antihistaminic activity, because

does not cause blockade of histamine H1 receptors.

The drug has a direct effect on the expansion of peripheral skin vessels, which causes autonomic reactions during menopause (hot flashes, feeling of warmth, fever, headache).

These vasomotor reactions are due to the activity of thermoregulatory centers in the hypothalamus due to imbalances in the balance of cerebral neurotransmitters that occur when the secretion of hormones by the ovaries stops.

The drug promotes saturation of peripheral neurotransmitter receptors.
