Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of castor oil is contraindicated during pregnancy due to the possibility of its early termination. Application in the III trimester of pregnancy is possible only for health reasons. If necessary, use during lactation should stop breastfeeding for the entire duration of treatment.
Use in pediatrics. The use of castor oil in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to the high sensitivity of the intestines of children to irritating substances and the risk of dehydration.

Dosage and administration of
As a laxative, adults are prescribed 15-30 g once a day. When cleansing the intestines before diagnostic procedures, it is taken 2-6 hours before the study. Children aged 12 to 14 years are prescribed 5-15 g once a day.
With weak labor forces to stimulate labor, castor oil is prescribed at 40-50 g once against the background of the use of agents that stimulate uterine contractility.
In dermatological practice, to soften the skin and remove scales from the foci of excessive keratinization, they are prescribed topically in the form of ethanol talkers with a ratio of 1: 10 with the addition of 2% salicylic acid (10 g of castor oil, 2 g of salicylic acid, ethyl alcohol up to 100 ml) . The chatterbox is rubbed into the lesion 1 time per day for 4 to 7 days, after which the focus is mechanically cleaned and treatment continues.

Overdose

Atropine sulfate and loperamide are specific antidotes. Assistance measures include drug withdrawal, recovery of fluid and electrolyte losses (preferably combined oral and intravenous administration), supportive and symptomatic therapy aimed at eliminating emergent disorders. With the development of neurotoxic effects, diazepam is administered 5 to 10 mg intravenously.
